Picked up the Leuthen Churchyard Gateway at the London Show - and what a beauty it is! Well worth the wait. I thought I'd position my Grenadiers
to get a feel for my forthcoming Dio. I'm hoping to do an enlarged version of the expected releases. I have 23 Grenadiers now, 13 the released
figures and 10 I have re-positioned to one degree or another for a little variety. I Shall be posting a few more pics showing the "conversions" for comparison to the original
figures.

WOW ....{bravo}}That is starting to really come together, It's looking great {bravo}}. Does anyone know what the plans are for this line will it just cover the reproduction of the famous Röchling image ? or will it be expanded upon to cover the whole battle ?.. Looking forward to watching your dio grow and farther pictures of your conversions great stuff . Thanks for sharing . regards Gebhard

Bill...you have a nice collection...they look great...looking forward to your diorama...

Bill....It does look like its coming together. Looking forward to the finished dio!

This is the best part of collecting when you are in the middle of an expanding range like this. Exciting to have the corresponding diorama pieces in the pipeline and continuously looking forward to the next release. Much better IMO than simply buying a finished series. Will be seeing how this all pans out for you^&cool, Robin.

Recently I was in contact with John and he indicated that he was considering adding a small ruined wall section which was breached by the 2nd Coy of Grenadiers.

Also he has 8 Austrians sculpted and so they will be heading to the factory soon for production. We have already seen one, a Wurtemburg Infantry musketeer.

I also hope to post my Luthen diorama as soon as my gate wall facde arrives, but its only the production figure, unlike Bill's wonderful conversions.

YES, plese show us before & afters of them :)

John

Great preview, Old Bill, of a nice upcoming diorama {bravo}}
I am looking forward to see your alterations of standard figures up close.
Happy Collecting!

Looking forward to more pics of your very nice looking grenadiers. :)

It looks like JJD will soon be expanding it's 7 year war offerings ... with the upcoming new Austrian and French infantry. I will appreciate if JJD will offer a limited re-issue of these Grenadiers with 'regular' brown earth base, instead of the snow colored bases.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to look at my pics and for the kind comments and encouragement. It's fantastic to see that so many people are interested
the Leuthen series. I am viewing the dio I hope to make as a long term thing - I'm awaiting the turret and wall to see what I can do with the space I've got. I shall
be ordering when available, 2 turrets and 2 walls to start with. Also I hope to visit the Churchyard in Poland for a closer look!

The conversions are quite simple ( a few were not! ) - but they did take me ages............ A lot of patience required! Here are the pics of what I have done so far:
(There are a few, please bear with me)

This is a great series and John said he would consider expanding it based on the popularity. Attack march grenadiers and musketeers for back up would be wonderful and I agree that they should have a more generic "muddy/dirt" base. Collectors always have the option to sprinkle some artificial snow over the bases for a winter diorama.
Some cavalry and artillery in the future would be welcome as well but we have to be patient.
Frederick and his officers would make a very interesting vignette.

That's my conversions so far, I have a few more to try at a later date. 'Hope you found them interesting.
Cheers! Roy.

Hi Roy ,
Thanks for taking the time out to share your conversions, I think they are superbly done {bravo}} one really can't tell them from the original poses although some show some pretty drastic changes in position{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}} . I had the gate preordered and was told it arrived I hope to have it by next weekend. I will also just have a display of stock figures but I'm really looking forward to displaying mine . Again thanks for sharing , I'm jealous about your planned trip to the site I just can't make myself go to Poland since last time when someone tried to steal my rental . Thanks again regards Gebhard

Bill,
Could you explain a little about how you were able to convert these.
Mark
