Two more topics to address, souvenirs and the British Museum. First Souvenirs, for me, a Highland Dirk that, based on the makers mark (depicted) was made in 1740 (the little knife isn't original, I bought it separately and added it), for my son, a piece of doped canvas from an American Biplane, with the pre-WWII USAAC insignia, and for my wife, an antique carriage clock (circa 1880) in its original case:

Glad to hear you and your son enjoyed your trip and thanks for sharing the great photos of your excursons in Scotland and England, yes not much you can do about the weather other than hope for the best !
Hope you got to visit the Roman Baths at Bath !?

I have been to the roman baths at Bath on an earlier visit, and had tickets for a tour of it, but arrived less than five minutes late, and was turned away as the tour had already entered. It was my own fault, I forgot my cane in a restaurant and had to double back for it.

What a Bummer Louis, but you done well squeezing in all the other places you visited in the time you had. Now you just need another holiday to get over that one ! ^&grin

I forgot to post the photos of the Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Museum at Stirling Castle. Here are the first five:

Chris,

You are too kind . . . I only wish a bunch of us could do a big Treefrog trip like we did in 2012! Maybe Belgium or Australia next summer?:salute::

Sounds good for the healthy. Still, I would rather be in London or Rome than anywhere but my home.
Keep having fun!
Paddy
