Wow! She's superb, at last we have the most famous fighter in the world from K&C, what an excellent model, and in this year of the 70th Anniversary of the War changing Battle of Britain Victory...for once I'm speechless!:. The Hurricane is very nice, the FW190 Superb and the ME109 looks excellent, but here we have the big one, the one that struck fear into the Luftwaffe over Britain, the one that even Galland wanted a Squadron of, and the one word the the enemy pilots feared hearing most, 'SPITFIRE'!!!

A huge thank you Andy and K&C, I do believe the RAF is my favourite range!

:D

Honestly Mitch I'm chuffed to bits, and in this year of all years, timed to perfection I'd say. I'm just over the moon to have my favourite aircraft of all time made by my favourite producer, this is one happy collecting bunny:).Actually my wife was going to keep it put away and give it to me for Christmas, sorry love, ain't going to happen now!!:D:D;)

Also I want to thank the guys at K&C UK,year after year they send me stuff big and small and I've never had a breakage, always arrives very well packed. The Spit came surrounded by those foam 'nuts' and in perfect condition as usual.

Rob....

Naughty boy. I bet the dinner will be in the dog tonight. Its the best time for him to release it but, how could you have kept that in the box for that long??I look forward to your RAF dio's
Mitch

I'm a very lucky man Mitch,I just spoke to the missus on the phone to tell her I'd opened it, she replied 'I was never for one second going to try and make you wait until Christmas, you are only eight years old after all '!.:)

I've just put my Spit next to the Hurricane, they really do look good together, with those two superb fighters we couldn't lose;) (I need to start on my airfield now)

Great photos, Rob!:cool: I got my Spit along with the entire new RAF release last week. They are all out on my RAF airfield, and I couldn't be more pleased. The new Spit just landed behind the wounded B17, having, along with the two wood P38's (Putt Putt Maru and Marge) just provided an escort for their wounded "big brother".

With 20+ K&C Warbirds, plus another 15+ Heco aircraft, you bet its a busy (and frankly overcrowded) airfield!

Louis, what you need then mate is a brand new 1/30 scale K&C control tower to replace your existing one ;). And when I say 'you' I also of course mean 'me'!!:D;)

How about it Andy, a control tower to safely see home our Spits and Hurricanes after sending the Luftwaffe running back across the channel!;)

Rob

Most sincere congratulations Rob, it is a fine addition to your Wing and just about in time for the most famous day of the BoB. Salute mate.

Thanks Bill, just in time indeed mate.Am so proud this year, you may have noticed that!:D

Some years back Bill, myself and my good lady went to Duxford Air show to see this huge gathering of WW2 aircraft including the biggest gathering of Spits and Hurricanes in the world at that point. Having watched these glorious aircraft for sometime we decided to beat the rush and leave early. We drove a short distance up the road from Duxford, parked the car, climbed over a fence and into this field (tresspassing I guess!).We were the only people in the field as we watched open mouthed as the Spits and Hurricanes time after time came roaring in above our own little field just feet above our heads. Truly jaw dropping, it was like they were putting on a show just for us, I will never forget it, there is something about the roar of those engines that brings a lump to the throat- but hey, look who I'm saying this to Bill:D;)

This summer it sure feels good to celebrate our Heroes and their Victory, just for a while we can put aside pc considerations and glory in their finest hour, wonderful stuff Bill:cool:

Rob

Great pics Rob, thanks. I can hardly wait for mine to arrive, along with the Tilley and K2! I guess I'm out of control as well but this RAF series is awesome. I've never seen a Spit or Hurricane in flight but that sure must be an awe inspiring sight. I wonder if a control tower is even feasible, it would be huge right?

Rob...

I think the control tower will be a cert. There is nothing better than the roar of a spit engine or the lanc come to think of that and, having watched them do flights around lincoln when I was at uni its an awesome sight to see these flying low over the cathederal.

Your aircraft look excellent toghether
Mitch
