Hi all

Recently I acquired two CS Sd.Kfz.251 DAK Halftracks for the specific purpose of getting them professionally repainted in a grey and a winter white washed grey. I commissioned John (obee on the forum) to do the work and I reckon he did an awesome job to say the least! Here's some pic's of them in two separate dio settings.

Yes, they didn't come up too bad, did they, considering they were originally "Afrika Korps" vehicles !!!!

John

Congratulations on you both!!:salute:::salute::
Need to start thinking on WW2 some time also...the early part of the war when the German vehicles were still in grey.....prefer that...
John is being busy....going from Naps, WW1....to WW2...The workbench must look like a piece of military history on s span shot....:salute:::salute::

Welcome to the custom-club!

I do not know about you, but I find it harder and harder to accept the factory stuff. I love the texture of the repaints that feel a lot more realistic, too.

I like your selection of GD and the choices on the winter version.

John, very nice work!

Thank very much for posting the photos Tom as in the middle Of getting my Dak Tcs Halftrack repainted as they work well with k&c

Thanks Luiz and yeah, I reckon John is going to need a bigger workbench and shed for that matter!!! ^&grin

Thanks Larry and I have already gotten a few K&C vehicles customised over the years but these are the first CS vehicles that I got done. I agree, the repaints with weathering adds a lot more realism to a factory model although I think it does depend on the brand.

I also got this vehicle repainted to match my winter K&C Pakwagen Half-track as pictured below. More pic's of the two together are on a thread I created in the diorama section at the bottom of the TF forum. I was inspired by Duke on the forum to get the other one repainted in grey. Duke has a superb looking repainted CS half-track done in grey as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing pic's of your repainted half-track Neil. I like these CS models as they not only represent one of my favourite WW2 vehicles, but they are also well detailed and great value for money when they were released.

Gee whizz Tom mate they look amazing, John's (Obee) done a brilliant touch-job!:salute::

Would love to have his painting skills.

Those look great Tom and John.

TCS Models are good candidates for repaints. I've done several of them myself.
