N.F.L. 24-25 Season (3 Viewers)

He does not lose $45 MM. What he loses are the guarantees to be paid $45 MM. In other words, if the Steelers cut him, he would not receive that money but it seems unlikely they would do so, unless it’s purely a cost cutting move.

Through 2025 DK Metcalf has earned about $100 mil dollars.

Each day, employees living paycheck to paycheck, lose their jobs because some jerk insults them and they respond in kind.

Maybe he can come back from this lapse in judgment, if not hopefully that previously earned $100mil is enough.

George...the link I posted above...it says this...maybe it's a misprint....but that is what the article says...

"Metcalf appealed the suspension, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. If the suspension stands, Metcalf will forfeit $555,556 for the two games. The suspension would also void $45 million in future guaranteed money, according to his contract, which was reviewed by CBS Sports and ESPN."
That was one heck of an expensive punch.

I've landed many more solid punches than that one and none of them cost me anywhere close to 45 million.

I did end up with a classic boxers break one time; it was worth it.

Worst punch I have ever taken was from someone who weighed 95 pounds and was barely 5 feet tall.

It as an ex-girlfriend who caught me with another woman.

She was tiny but pure muscle. It was like getting hit by a fire hydrant.

The Pats are 12-3. Impressive right? Wrong. They have only two wins against teams with a winning record. Two. That's incredible. Ten wins against teams with that are .500 or have losing records. I wonder if any team in the NFL history has ever done that. And one of those two teams is 8-7. They also lost to the Bills. The only other team they have beat with a winning record. And they are playing the Jets today. "First Round" Mike or "Bubble" Vrabel as he should be known caught a huge break. The playoffs will be a real test. Like JMU coming into the college football playoffs with an impressive record. I like Denver, Texas, and Buffalo in the AFC. The NFC will be a war.

The Jets organization should refund the money of any fan who bothered to attend that game. They phoned it in even though it had playoff implications. A sad and pathetic end to another sad and pathetic season. Maybe the worst sports franchise in history. Meanwhile the 3-12 Browns played their butts off. And with Carolina losing at home, the Pats now have only a single win against a team with a winning record this entire season. One.

Make that 13-3 there Harry.

I've never seen anyone rant and rave about a team's schedule; you play who you play, they play the AFC East, the last place teams in the AFC West and South, the last place team in the NFC East, then it's their turn to play the AFC North and NFC South.

Are you discounting wins against teams that had a winning record when the Patriots played them as your arguement is complete effing nonsense.

They won IN Buffalo, IN Tampa, IN Baltimore, not exactly easy places to play regardless of the opponents record.

The Patriots are undefeated on the road this year; road NFL games are never easy last time I checked.

It's not the Patriots fault that the NFC South and AFC North both blow this year.

Go take a valium and go to your happy place, you'll live a lot longer.

The Jets do stink and are pretty pathetic but they’re in tanking mode and are playing a bunch of people on defense who may not be in the league next year and a QB who definitely won’t be.

That being said you don’t get to 13-3 by accident and you can only play the teams on your schedule.

Better throw in some tequila with that valium.

Not to worry George. "Bubble" Vrabel is a good coach. There will be some first round playoff games in your future given their division stinks. No Super Bowls though. Just ask the folks in TN. In the meantime, we can sing along:

All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember
The time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory
Live again

Who said it was "by accident"? The Pats are 13-3 because they have a schedule that allowed them to win 12 games against teams that do not have a winning record. That has to be a NFL record. They have a single win against a team with a winning record. One. And that's to a team that they also lost against. The playoffs will be the real test. There are at least four teams that I would take over the Pats in the AFC at this point. Bills, Denver, Jax, and Houston.

You'd take the Bills with coach Hardo running the ship?

The Bills did dick all game long today until the last 6 minutes, scored two touchdowns, the Iggles had SEVENTEEN yards of offense in the second half, their defense was gassed, so what does Coach Hardo do, he goes for 2 instead of tying the game and going to OT, where a worn down Iggles defense and an offense that couldn't find it's butt with both hands would have folded and the Bills probably win.

He puts the win in the hands of that blockhead Allen, who whistled a pass wide, game over, division chances over, now they have to go on the road in the playoffs.

Denver? They've had a horseshoe up their butts all year long, winning how many one score games?
Jacksonville? They are hot, won 7 games in a row, you trust Lawrence in a key spot do you?
Houston? Million dollar defense, .05 cent offense.

Your Patriots hate is legendary, they have as good of a shot as anyone in the AFC this year.

It's house money at this point, I was expecting/would have been happy with 8-9/9-8, 13-3 so far is nuts ,WAY ahead of schedule.

Ask the folks in Tennessee?

He got to the AFCCG with Tannehill as his QB, I love how you gloss over that.

You just keep being you there Harry.

Good luck to your Rams if things stay the way they are in the NFC, they'll either go to Chicago or Philly in round one, the Germans stood a better chance at Stalingrad than the Rams will.

I just ordered one of these for you, AFC EAST DIVISION CHAMPION NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Steelers have lost their last 5 games against teams that are at least 8 games under .500; if they beat the Ravens and win the division, are they frauds too?

Next year the Patriots get the first place schedule, so it's either Ravens/Steelers, Jacksonville and whoever wins the NFC West.

See, that's how the NFL works; maybe the Patriots should petition the league to play a harder schedule.

There are a lot of sports hills to die on, but railing on about how easy the Patriots schedule was is not one of them.

Take a look at the march of the tomato cans the 1972 Doofins played to go 14-0; talk about a soft schedule, yet no one points to that, undefeated is undefeated.

I fully expected the Bills do just that. I thought, here we are, another Eagles game that was really two different games, and they're gonna blow their lead and lose the game. I couldn't believe it when they went for 2. The odds were so much more in the Bills' favor, had they gone for overtime, you are absolutely right, George!

Prost!
Brad

There are not any great teams this year. The Patriots and the Broncos are good, best in their conference, but are they SB champs. I’m not convinced as of yet. In the NFC, it’s Seattle, San Francisco, LA and Philly. I don’t see Philly repeating. Seattle is good but I’m not convinced yet. SF is humming on offense but so so defensively. Rams are solid. One of those three teams can win but they don’t blow me away. If SF wins on Sunday, they would have home field advantage all the way through the SB.
