N.F.L. 24-25 Season (1 Viewer)

WTF? Cringeworthy.
Enlighten me Brad. Are you saying U of Miami under Jimmy Johnson was not a dirty program? Are you saying multiple Pats players are not under criminal investigation for assault and strangulation? What exactly do you find "cringeworthy"?

Corporate speak.
"Armando Salguero, who's a former Dolphins beat writer, current NFL writer, and HOF voter, was the guy who presented BB's candidacy to both the coaching subcommittee and the general membership.

He claims the pushback during his presentations was about Bill's record without Brady."

Any voter who had pushback about an 8 time SB winning coach getting into the HOF due to his record with the Browns for 3 seasons and the Patriots for 4 years (in those 7 seasons, he made the playoffs twice and was 1-2) is a bold faced liar.

Just admit the Spygate thing went up your backside sideways and be a man and not a coward. Filming the other teams sidelines is ok from the coaches box but not the sidelines.................THAT'S what Spygate was all about, Belichick ignored the memo saying it was ok to film from the coaches box but not the sidelines.

Anyone who beats the Spygate drum and does not understand the whole ignoring the memo thing is what got him in trouble needs to run their head down to Yea old fix it shop in the town they live in and get that loose screw tightened.

So I guess this means next year when he's eligible again he won't get in as those same 11 voters will again say no.

Chuck Noll had a losing record without Bradshaw. So much for that argument. From another sport Casey Stengel had a losing record before and after he left the Yankees; yet he’s in the Hall. The voters wasted no time in inducting him. Retired in 1965, elected in 1966.

What did Andy Reid accomplish before he had Mahomes as his QB; what did Joe Walsh do prior to having Montana, etc, etc.

I am really tired of the constant need for great NFL coaches needing to justify how they won, what players they had, etc., before they “qualify” for the hall of fame.

Belichick belongs in the HOF on the first ballot.

While not necessarily first ballot inductees, George Seifert, Mike Shanahan and Tom Coughlin also should have already been voted in.

some alternate performers perhaps for the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show...

Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj...everybody's favorite...
The Village People...
and throw in some Kid Rock...

"Bawitdaba, da-bang, da-bang, diggy-diggy-diggy
Said the boogie, said up drop the boogie"

I actually own Devil Without A Cause...

maybe next year?
Unfortunately, the NFL seemingly never gets this right. When they had the big rock acts, they somehow had the worst stage sets/sound issues ever. I know most rock acts have said it is not worth doing (Metallica) and I know Ozzy hated the event he did in SOFI stadium saying it was the worst production he ever suffered through. Kid Rock I find to be entertaining music, but he is really not that great live unless it is on acoustic country type songs. I find the other stuff is hard to replicate live. He uses a lot of sampling and rhythm back ups that don't always come through in a live show (Additionally Kid Rock is as controversial as Bunny). The NFL just sucks at the choice and production lately. The 90s rappers was an awful production that should have been much more entertaining, instead, it was awful sound and lacked cohesion.

Maybe they should go back to marching bands, the sound is much better for the venue and it lacked any controversy.

Tom...I'm not a Bad Bunny fan...I have seen him on a few talk shows...and not to sound like a racist...but I usually need closed caption to understand what he is saying as I sorely struggle with foreign accents...still his global popularity is without question...his accolades are undisputed...and I don't think the NFL is trying to cater to 70 year old fogies like me...guys my age...our days are over...lately he's consistently been the most streamed artist on Spotify several years in a row...the NFL is appealing to the masses...unfortunately...I'm not in that group...the NFL is also probably happy with his SB performance in 2020...halftime for me is a bathroom break and more snacks...

True words. I agree with you on the appeal Funny thing is the age group that actually buys the tix are no longer the target audience. I think the NFL figures they already got us. Regarding Bunny some of his more divisive world view comments are to me offensive. I don’t deny his popularity or success. And yes I am one who usually is eating at halftime. This year I won’t have to worry about it as I believe I will be in a rental car!

I'll be taking an extended bathroom break during halftime, not going to subject myself to any halftime entertainment.............or loading up on snacks.................which will cause me to have to take another bathroom break.................or knocking down some adult beverages out of nervousness.

Can't wait for the game, at least for now no snow is in the forecast.

So totally spot on, the NFL does not care about guys like us, as Tom said, they've already got us, the NFL as usual is looking for yet more ways to make money..............."Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money", that's all the NFL cares about, soon it will be an 18 game schedule and every team will be required to play one game out of the country.

I'm looking forward to the Patriots being back in the Super Bowl; to me, it's my reward for hanging in there as a fan and subjecting myself to several Chefs/Iggles Super Bowl appearances.

If there is a God in heaven, the Chefs run is over.

George...I would be excited if I were you too...but I'm a Cowboy fan...😭

The most amazing stat that I have heard about this year’s game is that Sam Darnold is the first USC quarterback to play in the Super Bowl.

Considering their rich history and 11 national championships that seems impossible.

Not that amazing when four is the highest number. And that from one team the Cal Bears - not exactly a football powerhouse. Michigan and most other powerhouses have only one. If you consider that there have been only 59 SBs and then subtract the dynasty QBs like Brady, Montana etc, who started multiple games, the opportunities are few. In the last 25 years or so, USC has had two elite QBs. Caleb Williams and Carson Palmer. Palmer's NFL career came to an early close due to an injury. Football is also a team game. Darnold is likely not much better now than when he had the misfortune to be drafted by the hapless Jets. He was deemed a bust because he played in the worst sports organization in all history. With a better team and coaches around him, he is going to the SB.

The halftime show is going to be a real ordeal if the Grammy's are any indication. It's exhausting that there is no escape from politics.
Agree, I watched last night at the end for the Ozzy tribute, notice how not one of those performers was political in anyway. I did laugh at the choice of War Pigs for the show, that said, it was a Vietnam era war song! Little out of date and already commented upon that it was Ozzy's favorite Sabbath song to play and that is why they did it, no political reason at all.
