N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

I read earlier that all the women filing against Watson were not doing it for the money...that they were only asking for $500.00 civil lawsuit minimum, and their motive was just to make him stop assaulting other women...
this article says otherwise...

"People say that I'm doing this just for money," Solis said. "That is false. I come forward now so that Deshaun Watson does not assault another woman.

In response to Tuesday's news conference, Rusty Hardin's law firm, which is representing Watson, said in a statement that Buzbee's firm "sought $100,000 in hush money on behalf of Ms. Solis to quietly settle the allegations the month before he filed the first lawsuit."

Brady is going to be on GMA tomorrow for an "in depth" interview; yeah, I'm sure there will be some real hard hitting questions. Brady in a preview was yammering about how the doubters motivate him, he's not big enough, strong enough, fast enough, arm is not strong enough, he's too old.

Mother of God.

Yeah, I'm sure there are a lot of doubters out there on a 7 time SB winning QB.

This guy has been gone a year; now I see why so many fans on other teams hate him.

He really is insufferable.

Woe is Tom, no one believes in him.

And sorry, he looks like an idiot in that Tampa Bay get up.

Mike:

I go back and forth on the Watson accusations as both sides present their cases via the media.

However, two things stand out to me that seem to be related. The first was when Watson said that he was seeking treatment and massages for medical issues, the second was when he stated he used Instagram to find massage therapists for those medical treatments.

As a player in the NFL he has access to the best medical care by simply telling the team. More importantly when most people need a medical professional they don’t use Instagram to find them.

It is amazing how all these companies based in China will crackdown on anyone in the US who steps out of line. The hypocrisy is astounding. I'm still amazed at how the NBA circled the wagons after someone criticized China. It is almost scary that China has that kind of power.

I like the way Richard Sherman remains one of the “best” free agents.

He only played in 5 games last year.

In the last relevant game he played, Super Bowl LIV, he spent the majority of the game chasing KC wide receivers after he got turned covering basic routes.

George...

I saw Edelman officially retired today...
after NE released him after he failed his physical...
he was a once in a generation slot receiver...
100% blue collar ethics...

His knee is shot, literally bone on bone.......................I knew he was on trouble when he missed the last 12 games of the season with a "minor knee issue"............he was 35, 11 year career, started out as a 7th round draft pick, was a QB in college, made the team as a punt returner.

Glad he'll retire a Patriot unlike Gronkowski...................and Brady.

don't forget AB too...lol..

Oh and by terminating his contract vs outright cutting him, that allowed him to collect another 2 million dollars per the CBA.

That's what's called the Patriot Way, despite fans everywhere ****ting on this team, it's coach and the organization in general.

They do things the right way here.

Period.

SIX Super Bowl championships don't lie.

First retirement that I’m actually sad about in a long time.
It is definitely time. He’s shot but man, that little dude laid it out there every game. Best games ever are when he was miked up - actually tells the guy who nailed him that it was a great hit!!!

Oh boy.......wonder how much longer before this sort of thing applies to players too;

The NFL informed clubs today any team employee who refuses a COVID-19 vaccination without “bona fide medical or religious ground” will be barred from Tier 1 or Tier 2 status, and thus have restricted access within the team facility and not work directly with players, per sources.

I am really tired of the draft and its constant prognostications that began a day after the Super Bowl. The discussions are mundane and constantly recycled.

And please stop with the "he is the next __________" (fill in the blank with a Hall of Fame Inductee). For example, this year has no less than 4 players who are considered to be the next Jerry Rice. Last year had 3 and I am pretty sure most people can't even remember their names.

Ditto.

And the 9,000 different mock drafts give me an ice cream headache; stop speculating as to what will happen and just let it play out already.

yea...
me too...
and like a dummy...
I read them...
or at least look to see who my favorite teams take in the 1st and 2nd round...

My Rams are stacked at WR and, of course, used their second round pick on a WR. A guy who is 5'9 and weighs 155lbs. The smallest player drafted in over two decades. I can't understand the thinking behind some of these picks.

To me, the draft is a total crap shoot, who really knows how any of these players will do in the NFL.

The Patriots drafted a Mac Jones, a QB a two defensive linemen, a tackle Barnmore and an end Perkins.

One "expert" gave them grades of C, A- and A+.

Then a second "expert" said "Jones is the second most NFL QB in the draft, Barnmore is lazy and takes plays off and could be a total bust and Perkins is a huge reach, he'll be nothing but a JAG in the NFL".............:rolleyes2:

Going into the draft, their three biggest needs were QB, WR and CB; so they got a QB, but then burned two picks on defensive linemen when they spent a small fortune signing four defensive linemen free agents in the off season.

They have 5 picks today, I hope they draft nothing but CB's and WR's, but knowing them, they'll draft another QB, a kicker and three linebackers.............

Draft grades for each team (immediately following the end of the draft):

A+

No one knows how any of these picks will turn out, lets revisit this class in 2-3 years.

yea...
the grading is funny...
almost as useless as the countless different mock drafts...
some as different as night and day...
one guy will give them a D+...the next guy will give them an A-...
pretty ambiguous scale they use...
probably based on their personal mock draft...
