Napoleonic armour and supports (1 Viewer)

I would say that the scale is ever so slightly smaller than Britain's current soldiers but not so small that it looks wrong. Slightly less than 54mm scale.
The only actual soldier figure I have is one of the outriders. He is mounted on one of the two horses with this part of the set. When I match him up against say one of the Hougoumont Britains soldiers he looks a bit light-weight.
However, the horses look fine and are large and robust.
I can't really compare the carriage with anything Britains that I have but it looks fine with the two horses and if I connect the Del Prado French cannon to it the whole thing looks pretty good.
The whole thing is mounted on a resin diorama base in three parts.
Or it should be if it hadn't been bashed in the post.
If I can find the other horses I'll repair and re-paint the whole thing.

Thanks much for your detailed reply. It sounds pretty darn tempting. Any chance of a side by side photo with some Hougoumonters?

The French gun team is by Andrea and was never anything to do with Del Prado. I believe it is still available, check out www.andrea-miniatures.com

My understanding is that the partial set was produced by the Editions Atlas in France a few years ago which explains the lower paint quality (I repainted mine :)). I actually got mine on Ebay France and I still see it from time to time for sale on this site but I have never seen the complete team coming with it, so for whatever reason they didn't produce it with the full team.

Now, yes the complete and original kit is produced by Andrea (the picture I posted is from them).

It's compatible in size with K&C and Britains.

I haven't got a clue how to add pictures  but Grognard posted a picture of his model with K&C soldiers in the background on this thread and it looked good with them.

Would K&C fans be interested in a 250 series for a mule train ... with, say 4 different mules, but with varying packs and loads, for AWI, NAP, ACW(TRW also), WWI and WWII collectors. :)

Now you are talking about a multi purpose set !!! :) :)

Yes that would be very useful in many campaigns.

ATS make a very nice set of Royal Artillery mountain gun set from the Peninsular War and I'm sure that a baggage train would also suit Napoleonic collectors.

The same animals could be one set, and then each era could have a handler in period costume.

Good thinking :)

Britains produces an outstanding ambulance and two horse set with driver for ACW. Why would a limber and two horses be anymore expensive? A stand lone limber would sell, WB has already proven that. Seems like Andy has surrendered the initiative to WB and Frontline.

It would also depend on how accurate you want the saddlery, pack saddles vary by country and period.
