Napoleonic Spoils of War! (1 Viewer)

Well, you had to finish the plume off in green, just to rub it in, didn't you? ;)
They look top notch Jeff.
You really ought to give that poor girl a Milliput cloak, or she'll catch her death. :D

Thanks Simon, but you will have to blame "Old Nappy" for the colour schemes I just follow along with the painting instructions :p;)

Jeff

Great job Jeff !!
It's really nice to see them coming to life!

Thanks everyone :) three down and four to go! plus the selection of accoutrements shown here, this photo is enlarged from the Traditon card.

When I first obtained these for Konrad and opened the bags I must admit I thought what have I let myself in for, but once I started painting I realised that due to the nature of the sculpting and raised detail the figures are very easy to paint. Full marks to Tradition!

Thanks again to all the positive comments and I know that Konrad already has his nose pressed against the glass awaiting the postman :D.

Regards

Jeff

I am very pleased, oh yes, I am,
and very proud too for getting this fine set in my collection.
Beside the nice Tradition castings, Jeff's painting tunes them up quite a bit, if you compare it to the original style
Fabulous job !!!

Konrad,

Glad you like them so far.

Just finished the last two figures (hurray!) so will take a photo or two in the morning.

Jeff

With all of the excitement elsewhere in the forum ;) I've been missing the updates here. Very well done, Jeff! I like your rendering of the plaid, especially. I know what a pain it can be to paint it, and not end up like the old classic toy soldiers. I think you've done well in approaching the overlap that the colored bands have in the real thing.

Maybe you should get a set of Prins August pipers next and try some more :D

Prost!

Hah,
no need to worry.
He excused himself and left for today.
I told him: No problem. :D:D:D

Yo Jeff, great job again mate, its a very colourful set, looks like a lot of work went into this set.
Bernard.

Had not looked at this thread in a while and just read it through from start to finish. Love watching your work, Jeff. This project just about takes the prize. Very inspiring indeed. Too bad there is no green paint to be found anywhere or I'd try my hand at painting too. ;)
