Surprised nobody commented on this; LeBron opted out of his contract, rumors swirling he'd land with the Lakers, the Clippers, the Warriors, maybe even back in Cleveland.

Now today Bosh and Wade also both opt out, thus giving the Heat a ton of flexibility.

Loosely translated; all three will get new deals and end up back in Miami, with plenty of dough left over to go after Carmello Anthony, Love or whoever else they want.

Collusion part two; honest to Christ, is there a more hateable franchise on the planet that these assclowns?

It seems the NBA is not as astute as just about most fans to figure this out. The good thing is that ,as my Yankees and Heat show, no one can buy a Championship whenever they want..Michael

There's a huge difference between the Yankees spending money to put the best team possible on the field and the Heat using a loophole to have their three highest paid players basically have their deals redone so there is money available to add more high priced talent to the team.

I think the opts out are something put in by the players' agents. In addition, I'm no cap expert but teams have more latitude when signing their own players. I think Riley already ruled out signing Melo, who looks like he will return to the Knicks.

Lebron has announced he's gone back to Cleveland, that he's going home. Good for him. They asked Melo if he would joint Lebron in Cleveland and he said I don't even like to go there.

Wonder what the Heat will do, except sink.

Good for LeBron, hope he brings several championships to that city.

He's a better man than me; those childish comments the Cavs owner made after LeBron left would jerk a knot in my ***, just goes to show LeBron is able to rise above the nonsense and do what his heart tells him to.

Wonder if all those Cavs fans regret burning their James jerseys now?

This is huge...and hard to believe...I was sure he was going back to Miami...I'm feeling Lebron has no faith in Bosh and Wade as contributors...I thought all bridges for Lebron to return to Cleveland were burned a long time ago...the meeting with the owner...must of been a lot of "hiney smooching" to close this deal...or $$$...

so...the Cleveland fans will love Lebron once more...I would like to see him bring them a title...but he's gonna need some help...

Interesting to see if the Cavs will ante up the money to build a championship team around him. They didn't before. I think they have about 2-3 years to get it done before he goes into a Shaq-like decline from one of the best to a role player. Assuming he stays healthy. Good for him though. I would love to see Pat Riley head back to LA as the GM.

The biggest winner was Chris Bosh. In desperation the Heat signed him to a 5 year $118 million dollar contract. If LeBron stays there is no way he gets that from Miami or anyone else.

hahaha...they are scrambling to keep some of the pieces to the puzzle that won some Championships...

Bosh is not the answer...I think he will be hugely ineffective without Lebron in there...

and I can't imagine Wade will get offered that much...

welcome back Lebron...

We Love You!!!

how quickly NBA fans forget...

his coming home is like "make up sex" after a fight...

ESPN commentator...Steve Smith...said Chris Bosh's agent should win the MVA this year...

Most Valuable Agent...

The amount of attention this is getting is absurd, dwarfing it seems all other stories.

this morning's ESPN Sport's Center has been non-stop Lebron...

it's gotten past boring...

they are working every angle imaginable...

Those pictures are awesome Mike; yes, how quickly fans forgive and forget.

I saw a copy of that letter the owner of the Cavs wrote after LeBron left, what a tool, what a baby.

Again, LeBron is a better man than me, no way, no how I'd go back to Cleveland and play for a moron like him.

And yes, this is getting WAY too much attention, they talked about it for nearly four hours yesterday on Boston sports talk radio, they're talking about it again this morning, I shut it off.

I heard audio of the two clowns on Cleveland sports radio who broke the story yesterday; wow, talk about pathetic, pretty sure one of them was crying..................Jesus, this is sports, not life or death.

But then again, since Cleveland hasn't had a championship since 1964, I guess the guy should cry.

One point that was brought up which I did find interesting is it's all hugs and kisses now; what happens if two or three years from now, there is no NBA Championship, will the fans turn on LeBron, I think this brings a lot of pressure on him, we'll see how it plays out.

He saw no future in Miami, so he went back to Cleveland as they appear to be an up and coming team; we'll see about that..........

George...

yea...it seems like a magnanimous gesture on Lebron's part...I'm starting to warm up to him...^&grin

that being said...I don't know the terms of the contract...maybe it was money motivated...roster motivated or maybe he just wants to come home...

but I honestly feel like Lebron has had a Cleveland monkey on his back haunting his dreams for years...the way he left was ugly...I think he's following his heart to go home...

if Lebron never wins a ring for the Cleveland...maybe the comments will be that he gave up his best years in Miami...I disagree with that...the man is in his "P...R...I...M...E..." right now...he's the best player in the NBA...he needs a supporting cast to win though...

I think Lebron...with Miami had a future with the nucleus of their starting 3...

maybe a dynasty...that being said while San Antonio just rattled their cages big time in the playoffs...

but Miami ran through everbody else en route to San Antonio...

Duncan...Ginobli...Parker...they gotta have a combined age of over 100...their days are limited...I think Lebron had a fantastic chance for more rings in Miami...

Wade was supposedly injured and contributed nothing in that series...

we fans are funny...I hated Deion when he was with the Falcon's and 49er's...I hated him...

then the Cowboys drafted him...I'm a Cowboy fan...so now I loved him...^&grin

Lebron...yea...he's okay...I'm starting to like him...hehehe...

this is exactly what I think is wrong with professional sports today...
the young cocky players that think they are so great...

sometimes I'm so embarrassed about the way players act...
that it turns me off so much...
that I can't enjoy the sport...

the lack of sportsmanship...
professionalism...
and integrity actually makes me hate the game...

I hate showboats...
especially when they can't back it up...

the lowly Lakers...
with the 4th worst record in the NBA at 14-41...finally ending an 8 game losing streak in overtime...
then talking trash and celebrating after the game like they just won the Championship...

so embarrassing to an organization with such rich history...

Almost every player in professional basketball and football is a punk. They are raised that way by the ESPN society. When you have that amount of talent, fans and coaches will do anything from the time these guys are 10 years old to cover up for them. Look at FSU and Winston. You create monsters with hero worship, no accountability, and so much money. What goes on for real and gets covered up could only boggle the mind. I'll stick with hockey where most of the players are blue collar guys. In large part due to the lack of popularity of hockey as a college sport. There is no big money there to facilitate celebrity athletes during their teenage years.

Yea Mike-DIRTY...JUST DIRTY.

You never mess with another mans rhubarb.

Cold blooded man.
