here's a strange one...
Dennis Schroder of the Lakers...
declined signing an 84 million dollar...4 year contract...with the Lakers last year...
and signed with Boston for next year for 5.9 million...
whaaaaaaaat!!!
his agent should start looking for a new job...

"Only" 5.9 million; I assume he'll be flying coach and cutting coupons then, poor guy.

He's an odd duck. Not sad to see him leave the Lakers. He looked good on some occasions and was invisible on others. I recall he refused to get vaccinated as well. So good luck.

you're gonna like him George...
he averages about 15 ppg and is a scrappy defender...
I'm sorry to see him go but glad they didn't close the deal for that much cash...
Boston got him on the cheap big time...
he needs to prove himself with the Celtics next year to get a big contract...

He's playing for his next contract, so if that doesn't motivate him, nothing will.

We'll see how it turns out.

I do like the way the media has said he bet on himself and lost. He will make just under $6mil, nothing near the $84mil he was offered.

No mention of how stupid it was for that franchise to offer $84 mil to a guy that is now signed for nothing close to that.

Could be worse. They could have signed an aging veteran to a $200 million plus contract.

Rondo, Howard, Anthony, Westbrook. The pressure is going to be on the Lakers to roll through the upcoming season. They are stacked but with aging veterans. I remember them once signing Karl Malone and Gary Payton and that super team not working out.
