A Sherman loaded down with gear and sandbags is about to pass 3 soldiers resting under the shade of a tree as the Americans advance across France. It looks like there might not be room though with all those sandbags and all that gear!

Very clever, a nice use of your figures and armor, and a nice storyline to go along with it.

Nice work and one of the best Shermans ever released IMO

That SL Sherman set is a terrific piece. I've not seen it used in a non winter scene before but it fits in great. Thanks for the inspiration, I'll have to go back and incorporate it into a "race across France" scene.

Thanks CFM. I like this sandbagged Sherman so much that I was trying to figure out a scene without it being a winter one. The figures that come with the set are all "winter weathered" but the tank itself is not. Therefore I was able to substitute a different tank crew from other K&C sets to make it a summer/fall version.

BBA015(SL) - General Inspection is an impressive set with plenty of figures for your money, and it's especially attractive when depicted in a diorama like this.

My preference would be for only NON-whitened vehicles (American & German) in their "Battle of the Bulge" range because neither side used Winter style camo at the time. Whitening didn't occur on the Western Front until 1945, and even then it's use was relatively limited.

For example, K & C should have issued a standard "Olive Drab" M-10 Tank Destroyer rather than their "Whitened" version (BBA011) despite how attractive it looks in White. But I guess that's "artisitic license" for you ;)
