Mitch and Neil,
Regarding :
"It would be nice if manufacturers would walk their own paths!!! No Romans then inundated with them no stuka's probably a whole squadron coming. no me 109's for europe now two quite similar".
It is hard to comment on the Stuka situation as much has been said but none produced. I know a few who have bought both JJ and K&C ME 109.
However for Romans here is how I see it :
FL are the more expensive.
CS are the cheaper and are Romans V Britons. I know some are buying CS Britions to add to their FL figures.
Conte are doing Winter (apparently inspired by opening scene of Gladiator).
K&C also have a few from their Life of Jesus series
The previous Romans would have been the K&C series from 10 years ago which had long retired so it was natural that subject would be looked at by others.
Surely this is an example of manufacturers walking their own path. Collectors have a choice on quality, price and winter or non winter with a great variety of poses. It does mean the Roman fans are spread amongst different producers so it is the producers who have to exercise care in how many Romans they think the market can take otherwise they will have excess stock.
Regards
Brett
