New 38T has arrived! (1 Viewer)

Chris .

Nice quick set-up !! This tank is going to play well in a lot of future diorama's just on it's versatility alone !! Looking forward to what you come u with !
For anybody considering this tank , you'd better hurry it is practically sold out of it's allotted run !! I am hoping Andy/K&C does another run...Romanian & Hungarian or possibly captured Russian version...
I will post a Romanian version...

Joe

Next one I guess is a MARDER (winter version)

Not sure would that go well with the BBG figures though... {sm4}

Would not mind seeing some of these variants for the Kharkov battle done.

Thanks everyone for the comments.:)

Joe, it looks like you got more than one of the 38T? How many did you get two, or all three?

Duke ,

I pre-ordered two thru TreeFrog , #201 & #202...Always really liked this early war AFV...Been waiting for somebody to make one for twenty years...Just got to order one of the tank commander set's now for #202...
The pic of the 38t in Munster Germany !!

Nice release from K&C. ^&cool With the current policy of small production runs to sell out inventory quickly and making physically small pieces (like this AFV) I'm sure we can look forward to more early war releases like this over the next while.

Joe, I think you will be glad to have two. Should make for some nice dio set ups.

Duke and Joe,

Here are some more pics to share. It seems that the 38Ts that came into Singapore are all sold already. Rest of my pics are loaded into an album.

PS One of mine is missing an antenna, and will be fixed by my dealer.

You pictures makes want to get the Turret 201 too - the commander posture is so "classic" ! :salute::

BTW the number allocated to our local dealer for limited release is very low I think. They always say no stock....^&confuse

I am all pee-d out by some of the recent posts which seem to revolve and regurgitate around the same issues over and over again. Time to let the matter rest.

I think it is time to focus back on the high life again with this iconic 38(t). Here is my low res ipad quick snap contribution from this morning of a tank column on the road into France. Will follow up with better shots before the weekend is over. Wish I had a back-scene on hand. It was well worth the wait and I can say I am very happy with this 38(t) release.

The photos that follow are actual shots of 38(t) on the Eastern front. Notice the font shape of the "5" on the numbers for the 38(t) are actually different in the 2nd shot... LOL This is how it is in real life. But, if K&C did that, perhaps they will get "walloped".

Brilliant Chris.....how about some of your excellent 38t pics in Black and White if you have the software to di it.....regards TomB

That's a great FOB scene you've got there Chris. All three 38T's put together like that make for an impressive display.{bravo}}

I've been waiting a long time for someone to make a 38(t). Without it, Germany may not have taken all of Poland and WWII may have been very different.

I got my model on Friday and have had a good look. At last a tank that has rivets I can count. :wink2:^&grin

Overall, I think it an above average model with lots of detail and weathering.
- accurate depiction of the road wheels and sprockets including cutouts
- Weathered and textured rear grill and muffler
- good rivet detail
- Grip strips on the mudguards
- complete and detailed tool kits and stowage
- accurate depiction of the many vision ports
- very realistic mould of the 37mm gun and barrel end and of the two MG with their flared barrels

The only complaint I have is the unrealistic mud on the tracks, especially the top track. And missing is the characteristic track droop onto the rear two road wheels where there is no return roller.

Overall, I am very happy with the model. I think the level of detail is an improvement over some of the recent AFVs like the T-34.

Thought this would be interesting. I brought out my old 1/32 scale 21st Century 38T (with FOV figure) to compare to the new K&C 38T.

Thank you....love it....the colorless pic's give more of a scense of realism....IMHO the B/W pic's take away the TS appearence and make's for a more real scene ...thanks again...regards TomB

Just ordered mine today guys. Should arrive in 2 days so more to follow on this beauty

Wayne ,

Good Thing !! I believe the 38t is practically sold out of it's allotted run's...250...100...100...!!
I also noticed TGM is doing two late war 38t chassis variant's...140/1 Recon tank !!
I am wondering if Andy/K&C wants to take this 38t ride a little further ?! What i mean is , It can be had in A Romanian , Hungarian , Bulgarian , Slovak or even a captured Russian version...
Or maybe this may usher in the sister tank of the 38t...The 35t ??!!
Now that i got my two 38t's i got to get the grey Hanomag , & see where we go from there...

The 38T are still very much available from the dealers ^&grin How long more not sure though ^&confuse

But in terms of sold-out record you can't match this piece :salute::

DM101,

The release qtys are too different to afford an apples for apples comparison. If it was just 97pcs of 38t, it will probably go viral. This is like a Series 250. The last major hit was the Italian Amato tank, where it just sold out quietly.
