They could have sent an email to the symposium outlining activities at Britains. IMHO it was a missed opportunity.

With all due respect, that is not how business works. Why would they send an email that could be copied and forwarded that would give their competitors a roadmap to their activities. That would be poor business judgment.

You're speaking as a collector but try wearing their hat and seeing it from their perspective. I often Find that collectors only see things from their point of view, not that of others.

I understand your point concerning an email communication and that my perspective is that of a collector. I am not asking Britains to provide "roadmap" of their activities, rather, I am wondering what is the fate of advertised products, such as the Egyptian gun crew.
Best wishes,
Benjamin

They have not done a good job of communication and need to do a better one. The last time Ken was on was in early January. Contrast that with Andy, Matt, John or Brian.

You are right. Without communication, the interest of collectors for their products is lost.

I can see where you are coming from, but they produce a brochure every year telling people what 'in theory' is coming out and secondly they could have answered the original request - information on where is the 88mm Gun and when will it be released?

I will try to call Ken tomorrow or Friday and see if I can get some news.

The first CEO I worked for taught me to "never hide behind a problem"......obviously they are having issues and like Brad said they should be communicating better.

As a young lawyer I was taught a similar lesson and also to be accountable if things went wrong.

Sorry, I was busy the last few days. I will try next week.

Just an observation, as much as I hesitate to say it. Am not certain, but we may be witnessing the “last post” of Britains, and more specifically of their once touted German 88mm Gun project. Personally don’t know how many “prototype/pre-production” specimens exist, or what the distribution may be, but have the distinct impression that they will become instant extremely rare “extinct birds”. Certainly hope I'm wrong and welcome other opinions.

Jim, they haven't logged onto the Forum since early January. In this day and age, that's not wise. Contrast that with the other major manufacturer; they have a solid Forum presence.

Agree with Brad, if you look through the threads on the forum way more are negative than positive. They are a toy soldiers company and sell toy soldiers, not digital company or a publisher making their money through selling brochures and leaflets, so having a big forum presence or sending out brochures with pictures in of futures release does not mean they are a viable ongoing concern.

This Forum is like our Facebook or Twitter, our social media in other words, and companies need to have a strong presence in order to prosper. You ignore social media at your peril.

Agree, with Social media is used to support companies like Britains, they are not a "YouTube" star. They need product.
