Hi all,

I've added a few of the K&C Desert Village buildings along the entranceway to my saracen walled city. I've also added more figures and some new diorama accessories. My next step is to put the whole thing on a permanent board and add realistic terrain. I'm trying to add some pictures to this post, so I hope you'll enjoy them. Thanks for looking.

That is very cool lots of action going on and a nice mix of figures and scenery. Looking forward to seeing the progression.

No doubt about these new desert buildings certainly lift the scene. Cannot wait for the new temple planned for late in the year.

A new temple sounds just great. I'm already imagining the many possibilities!

George...fantastic collection...I love your set up...I also collect the K&C Medieval series...your collection is very impressive...your house looks just like mine...the dining room table is "chock full of soldiers"...we eat on tv trays at my house...hahaha...:D

Thank you, Simmo, Michael, Robin and Scott for your kind compliments. Michael, I've been admiring your medieval collection and that beautiful castle you scratch built for quite some time and...yep, that's my dining room table, but we usually eat on the table in the family room. Robin...Wow, that upcoming temple sounds like a fabulous idea. How much do you know about it? Will it be a mosque and will it be released by King & Country?

George

WOW! George that is a great collection you are developing there. I really like your use of both the JG Miniature Old City Walls/Gate with the new K&C desert buildings/gate. They really look nice together. The biblical figures also give your scene a "complete" feeling - civilians. I always like to see photos of your collection and what you have been doing with it. Very, very nice.

Thank you, Mike,

Hey, it's good to hear from you and thanks for your kind compliments. I haven't heard from you in a while. Yeah, K&C really did a nice job on that new Desert Village series of buildings. Have you seen any of them in person yet? I thought I needed something more in the foreground of the castle and those two buildings seemed to fit just right. That village gate is just so neat. Have you seen the biblical figures up close? The sculpting is great and the painting of the stripes on the clothing, etc., is just fabulous. I love all of this middle east stuff. I guess there will be a temple/mosque released later this year? That should be a great new addition, with many possibilities. I'm hoping for some new Crusader/Saracen releases in the very near future, including that archer on the camel. I know you've been wanting Saracens on camels for quite some time now, as have I. That would be a very welcome and popular addition. I need more Saracens for my diorama. I've ordered my first Black Hawk Templar - Hugh of Paynes. If I like the way that series ties in with my K&C figures, I'll also get the Saracen stabbing the Templar and the Templar sergeant attacking the falling back Saracen, as well as a few others that would tie in well with my diorama. I looked at your civil war diorama the other day. It's just fabulous. You have so many nice collections now. Do you think you'll still be collecting any more medieval era figures or structures at this point? Best wishes, George

Always a pleasure to chat with you also George. My main collecting interest is the ACW. I occasionally will add to my K&C Crusaders/Saracens and to my SOHK/US Navy/USMC collections but these have become secondary to the ACW. If/when released I will get the camel mounted figures - as you said, we have both been waiting awhile on those.

They look great and, the buildings look awesome. Thanks for sharing the pics

I think you will be excited when you see this reversible building coming late this year. Have a look at the photos on the thread dated 06-11-2010 KING & COUNTRY IN OZ.
