New airfix releases 1/32nd scale ww2 (1 Viewer)

Is it just me or is the banjo player missing from the German Paratroopers?

Okay, ya got me! Which one is the banjo player? I've ordered a box of the German Paras (along with a couple of other boxes), so if you can identify which one, I'll let you know!

I have seen the product "Quickshade" in Wargames illustrated its a brown color and looks like it would work on some figures Ancients maybe.
But cant se how it could work on everything ?
let us know how you go :)

Will do mate. If I get time I'll have a crack at it this weekend.

I'm interested to see the results as well Martin.
What scale are you planning to 'dip'?
I'd be curious to see how it fares on larger scale figures.
Cheers

Hi Simon

I'm planning to kick-off with the new 1/32nd Airfix plastics mainly due to the reviews on ths forum. I've got some 28mm metal which I'll I'll try out too.

I've been told that the dip is good but one must use a good matte varnish to finish off the figure. I suspect the dip is similar to Ronseal Yacht varnish which I used to use to shade wargame armies en-masse years ago. When the eyes were up to it I could knock out a good thirty figures in an evening, mainly due to the fact that the varnish did all the hard work.

Hope you're well and see you on the 5th?

Martin
