New Beau Geste Durbar Fan Just Jumping In... (1 Viewer)

Wow! That looks fantastic. What a great addition to any collection.

Hi Guys,

I am really quite happy to have them but technically the wife is in control of them right now, they are my birthday gift so officially I dont have them yet but I will in the fall which is good because I will need the time to figure out a place for them. I will say this they are very well made and feel quite solid. As for size they appear to be slightly taller than the Britains but not enough to make me want to display them alone. I think they will fit well but am sure they will stand out even in the crowd I have here.

All the best

Dave

Hi Guys,

My new set finally arrived from Canada! Took a long time but was soooo worth the wait. It is sets 69,70 and 71. I think you will enjoy them Thanks to Ana and her people for their amazing art work!

All the best

Dave

Dave,

Those sets are just plain beautiful.

Hi Louis,

I am glad you think so I really think they are beautiful and will be trying to add a few more sets this coming year. Hope you get a chance to show some more of your beautiful glossy sets that you have hidden away.

All the best

Dave

Just exactly how many stes are you going to get for your birthday?:D

Hi KV,

I guess I'll try and sneak I mean let my wife buy as many as I think I can get away with....;)

Of course we both know that means I'll get the ones I have and thats it, unless I get really really lucky and find somemore priced like these. Remember I am 1/2 priced Dave

How about you anything good inbound or picked up off the radar of either pat or me?

All the best

Dave

I'm displaying all of the old K&C glossy sets I come across. I just made a trade with Brad to pick up a glossy dutch grenadier and chipped in with Brad on an auction to obtain one of the glossy old guard grenadiers.

I love the elegance of the Delhi Durbar stuff, and wish that K&C had addressed this subject.

Dave - That is a fine set (s). I display my Durbar along with Britains, Beau Gest, Marlbrough, like seem to blend nicely. Even though the slight differences. I do recommend Beau Gest Civilians/ Spectators , I recently got both sets and they really make my Durbar.
Enjoy reading your commnets too. Best Regards...Greg

Hi Louis,

I have to tell you those old glossy K&C sets are very nice and I am looking for some of the NMF sets I keep hoping to find a few so maybe I'll get lucky like I did with the Beau Geste sets that basicly fell into my lap. Post some shots of the new ones you just picked up when you have a chance.

All the best

Dave

Hi Showman,

Do you have any pictures you can post? I am always interested in how other folks display their sets especially when they mix them together like I have.
Do you have the complete W Britains Run? I am short two sets right now.

Look forward to chatting with you.

All the best

Like that is going to happen;) You guys are too dialed in for that to happen.

Oh come on KV I dont think that Pat and I are into all the same things you are. However with you reaction I expect you may have found some really neat things and are just being selective about what you tell us. Did I mention I recently found a slightly damaged set of Britains Skinners Horse. I need to do some repairs but they are really nice! Way below my nick name too;)

So what have you been finding?

All the best

Zip nada , buttkis. I have been making my own. Civil war stuff. The stuff I have been putting on the forum here. I am working on Italian Napoleonic soldiers and some Louisianna zouaves. BTW my elephant has not shown up yet. I am going to call that guy tomorrow and ask what is up?

Hi KV,

Did the elephant make it to you yet? I know how frustrating it can be waiting for an item.

I hope your going to post some shots of the latest castings.

All the best

Dave
