Outstanding indeed!........The War along the Nile series is just what I have been after. :)

To all the staff at Britains thank you so much for listening to all the campainging over the last year.

The Union cavalry is great, is my favorite collection:D
WWI Uhlans or WW2 german paratroopers in the new catalog?

Truely a great catalog! Been trying to cut back on which lines of figures I collect do to economic reasons, but this preview of whats to come is making it all that much harder.:(

Gentle Friends,

During the past two years, I have made great strides in narrowing the focus of my collection to just three ranges: the Delhi Durbar, the Monarch Regalia Samurai, and the Ancient Egyptians. Now, I find myself significantly challenged by the introduction of the "War Along the Nile" series. It will take a supreme effort of self-discipline to avoid adding this series to my collection. The truth is I may not have that much self-discipline! I am incredibly impressed with the series!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Well Pat, I believe We're in the same boat, and that boat might just end up being a Nile Steamer!

Hi Dragoon,

:D:D:D It is very nice to know I am not the only one who experiences a weakness in self-discipline! If there are others similar to us, perhaps we may gain some strength from the numbers of us who share this character flaw! ;)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Well i didn't really want to start collecting another series but the Nile series, looks too tempting really and to be honest my uncles Trophy Nile/Zulu collection is what drew me into Toy soldier collecting, but these are on a different level:)I'm one happy bunny:)

If the Nile steamboat is issued count me in.(could never afford Trophys)

The lack of a limited edition band is telling though, guess gloss bands with over 5000 issued aren't that popular any more?;)

Who needs a pension i will invest it in Toy soldiers, unless that is the Uk government brings in a toy soldier tax:eek:

Generally I can resist anything except temptation.

Thankyou for posting all these wonderful pictures and Britains giving me a reason to get out of bed every morning this year to go to work and earn money, so I can have every Zulu and War in the Nile release.

So it looks like from the catalogue images that the "War Along the Nile" series is starting out with two battles:

The Battle of Tamai - March 13, 1884
The Battle of Abu Klea - 16 - 18 January 1885

Thanks for posting the great pics........I think. Looks like I won't be able to resist the ACW any longer, and the Nile series looks too good to pass up as well. Another blown budget.

Could never guess what all the new Zulu were going to be, so I am wrapped with so many in the pipeline, everyone a winner. While there is a whole lot I will hang out for in the future, such as mounted British, 7/9 pound guns with crew etc, for the time being without sounding too greedy, I was hoping for a flag bearer to rally the troops around, which is sadly overlooked. Not sure how it works, but there are some supplements that come out in the coming months, does that mean there could be some more Zulu items before the 2011 catalog, or have we now seen the entire range until than.

Not too likely as typically a Fall catalog and 2 supplements will follow, each quite likely to have more additions. Would not count on a flag bearer, but expect you will eventually see your 7 pounder(s) and some Cavalry.

You can hardly make out the text on page 9 of the posted image, but it reads "Many more releases for this range are planned for 2010."

As MD mentioned, I'd expect some Cavalry this year.
