Sandor...
If these guys had shakos, and by the way that is an excellent idea, they would have the royal cipher and a black cockade for the House of Hanover. After all they did win, keeping the world safe for a monarchy!
Ken

I guess I could settle for that... but only if it was Royal foot Artillery, and included a command sets and a RA driver (the ones in the red "bellhop" coats). However, just look at this picture:

Ken, Dave, Alan, Wendy, Richard,
to all of you a big :salute:: for such great work.
Lots of collectors will be excited and pleased with your 2012 releases.
Excellent stuff!

Gentlemen,
Whilst I must concur that the Zulu limber set is a must have, I draw your attention to the magnificent range of Great War Tommies. Huge selection and with a little bit of a repaint (black boots to brown boots) you have yourself a fantastic range of Great War "Aussies". These also are a must have.
In the words of one of my old sparring partners.^&grin Britains Rule.:):)^&grin^&grin
Cheers Howard

Howard, I totally agree, these new WW1 figure are exceptional & if I had enough room & money I'd buy them in a flash! I think the guy going up the ladder is my favourite!

I'm planning on becoming member of the collectors club as well. However, due to me purchasing a house at the moment that means I cannot make use of my creditcard for the next 2 months. So that means I'll start that membership probally end of april or begin may. The figure I'm after is the Iron Brigade one. Do you think that figure will still be available at that time or will it be replaced by a new batch?

They change there choice of figures each year so you should have no problem picking up the figure you want any time between now & December, they sometimes even have surplus of certain club figures still for sale the year after.

Look at the new models for 2012 and there are some great models !

The WWI figures are most welcome and look great. The artillery set is spectacular. Well done to Richard and team.

Pity Rob does not collect Britains otherwise all images would already be included in this thread{sm4}

Well in December Richard said he had something spectacular for the AZW range and I think he has delivered. The set looks amazing and I think the sculpting of the horses looks to have improved alot - they look great.

I am happy to see the Zulu casualty figures - been asking for them for a while.

Also think the WW1 figures look very good, especially the troops on the ladders getting ready to go over the top.

Great start for 2012

Wow,

Love the Zulu War limber and the release of the associated Artillery figures.

The WWI figures are very well thought out and done (start another Britains series or buy the odd one).

Like the release of additional French and Rifles Naps, especially the limited edition ones.

Can't wait to see what is in store for the Sudan in the next catalogue. Hopefully artillery and some hand to hand sets like the new Zulu ones.

Started putting my pre-order list together like probably so many others.

Andy

Great ACW sets! Thanks, Ken! Nice to see the 3-inch ordinance make an appearance after so many years! The new mounted Lee and flagbearer is a must! Nice artillery crew singles. That was a great idea for this series. Britains for American Civil War continues to dominate! :):):)

I have to congratulate Britains on the upcoming releases. Without a doubt, the WWI, Zulu, and ACW sets are masteful and some of the very best matte figures Britains has done! You should all be very proud of these pieces, and I have a feeling they will excite a lot of collectors. Needless to say the market is getting more and more competitive, and money is in shorter supply right now, but these can only help W Britains. Great stuff!!

Ken or Richard, is there any chance you could give me the dementions of the new Zulu War Gun & Limber set? I've got a new glass cabinet & want to keep a shelf spare for it!

Thanks Craig

Hi Craig:

Should have put that in the catalog - dang! 14.5" long (includes cannon) x 4" wide (includes guys hanging off the side) x 4" high.

Hope it fits!!!

Richard
