New club figure. (2 Viewers)

Nice figure. It does look a bit smaller than Rommel looks 1/30th knowing the size of the former.

Hi Guys,

Re the height of General Hasso von Manteuffel…According to reports the General was the shortest General in the German Army…just 5ft. 3 ins tall!
So its fair to say that he would appear noticeably shorter than the “Desert Fox”.
Hope this helps.

Best wishes and happy collecting!

He looks very good with the Kubel Wayne, I reckon he has a new ride there!

Nice figure mate and I wonder if the Jerry soldiers had a nick name for him!

So, are we doing figures at varying heights from now on if you don't mind me asking? Skorzeny was a very tall man and he remained the same size as ''normal'' releases and Meyer and Sepp dietrich were both not tall but, also were noticeably not different in height.

I am all for figures of differing heights as one standard height is unrealistic so, this could be a good move if we are venturing down that road

Nice to hear your input
Mitch

Note the shorter legs, especially the thigh. Note the torso is shorter than Rommel but almost the same width. And as for the head that looks small, compare his head in this photo to the chubby cheeked guy behind him.

I believe Hitler referred to him as "the little Count" on multiple occasions.

Following the positive reports on the Collectors Club figure of Gen. Manteufell I joined the club and ordered the figure, which arrived today. It is a very nice figure and I am glad I have added it to my collection. However a word of caution to anyone in the United Kingdom who follows suit with this or any other Collectors Club releases.

The package was delivered with an extra surcharge of 15.90 pounds, made up of 7.90 VAT plus 8.00 Parcel Force handling fee. So if you do order club figures you'll have to pay similar charges before you can get your figure which does make them a little bit more expensive!

"The Little Count" ? I hope it wasn't just misheard slightly. :)

Good point Tom. Plus when someone is shooting at you, I bet you would never think to yourself, "I wonder how tall that guy is?"

He's tiny! Talk about military miniatures!{eek3}:smile2:

Know a bloke...5ft 4 inches who won a DCM in Nam....funny thing ....his nickname was not "Shorty"....maybe no-one noticed his height...cheers TomB
