I have received the second part of my 2012 Hiriart order from Uruguay. The order was placed a year ago. Yikes! I hope that the 2013 order will be completed in a more timely fashion. Anyway, I am glad to have it---better late than never.

Here are the two Hiriart shipping boxes sharing the entry with my five-year-old granddaughter's "kitty pre-school" which she plays at for hours with her grandmother. Some views of the sets before and after being removed from the shipping boxes. The only "damage" is to this Royal Field Artillery set where two of the horses broke loose from their ties. I ordered two of these; I'll keep the loose horses set and sell the second set which was intact.

No, you can't beat that, Martyn. Although two-thirds of these sets are for other collectors, I still get a kick out of opening them up. Well, I am not surprised that the camel set is your favorite.

Excellent Mike! {sm3}...seems like only yesterday when you had your last delivery...keep them coming...{sm3}

This Set 1088 ACADEMIA MILITARE DE MODENA, ITALIA is for Bob. As is our custom, we will be distributing the sets from this order at his house on Saturday for those collectors who live in the Los Angeles area. He has displayed all his West Coaster purchases on his kitchen table for us to see. I'll take photos and post them under the West Coaster Shows Forum.

You two not related in any way are you? Only large amounts of blue boxes seem to be quite popular lately! :wink2::rolleyes2:^&grin^&grin

Thanks Jeff. Actually, it was last November or about 4 1/2 months ago when I received my last delivery. Hiriart is still working on 19 special commission sets from the 2012 order.

Not that I am aware of. However, the Romans did spend several centuries in Britain, so anything is possible. I usually get asked if I am related to Quentin Tarantino, to which I reply that I am not, but that I am better looking than he is.

I ordered two non-catalog flagbearers each for Bob and I based on the 1138 Garde Husaren and 1148 Totenkopf Husaren sets I order for other collectors.
