New Home! (2 Viewers)

Just saw your old den photos. Looks like you had the whole K&C Vietnam collection.
Very nice.

Hi njja,

I am looking forward to the pictures of your new den. Having always enjoyed the shots of the your old den in the album, I hope you set up the backlot buildings and figures plus everything else as before.

Cheers, Raymond.:smile2:

Thanks Raymond, I'm certainly going to try. I have a 12' wall unit in my den and I have already set up my Arnhem display and Vietnam firebase......and it's getting tight! I do have a large library/office which I will also use to display items.

However I have decided that whatever doesn't make it on display will be passed to other collectors for them to enjoy as I have. If I can't fit it in this house.....it's just to much! You spend years collecting items.....then you realize a few pieces might have really been enough!

I think actually moving the items.......is the real shocker!

Yes, and I just moved that over last night. I had it sitting on a piece of plywood so once the figures were removed it fit in the back of our SUV and made the trip nicely. I set it up and everything made it ok! We are enjoying the new house and usually go to the other house to "cherry pick" items to bring over. At this rate we should be finished in 50 of 60 years! But heck who is counting.....I figure the wife will have a big estate sale when I'm not looking and that will be that!

OK, it sounds like your move is going like ours. We are slowly moving items over from our house to the new one. Have not picked a date to move the "big" stuff yet. That Vietnam firebase looks great.

Walt good luck with your move! Even when you take your time......it's still a lot of work!

Well I finally have a few moments to add a post or two. I am somewhat sidelined at the moment with a case of the Gout{eek3}

Inspite of Brads warning we are adding a pool......it was the wifes main wish, and she made it clear that unless I wanted to learn how to cook it had better be a top priority!

Finally here are a couple of shots of the garage. The lifts are still a couple of weeks out so its a little cramped at the moment. Vehicles under covers are King & Country full scale proto types I am trying out for Andy!

Njja,

Congratulations to both you and your wife.

Your new house looks absolutely magnificent.

Cheers, Raymond.:smile2:

Great looking home John. Thanks for the photos. What a garage. John

Great looking house, and I noticed "Shelby" on one of the car covers . . . sweet!!!

Your home is beautiful, but really like the framed pics of Kramer and of course your most loyal and trusted friend...Sammy

John,

Awesome house, very neat designs/furnishings. Enjoy every square foot! Guess there is no way the Vietnam dio is not fitting..........!!

You have a ceiling fan for your cars. WOW. A beautiful house my friend. Simmo.

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

Ha you noticed the fan! Actually it is quite hot in the garage, wife is putting in blinds and fan offers a nice breeze while I mess with the rides.

Nice spotting Louis! That is my 550HP Shelby, it is quite a ride! My next door neighbor has 6 garages with an old Corvette, a T-bird and a 68 mustang he is working on. As a side note another neighbor brought by a petition to put in speed bumps!

He was not well received.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Glad you liked the Kramer! We have had it for a number of years and wife actually liked it behind my desk in library.

Vietnam firebase is up in my den along with Arnhem goodies, I will take a few more photos shortly......my camera is in the shop and I'm not quite up to speed on wife's......which explains all the fisheye photos.
