New JJD WW1 Aircraft (2 Viewers)

Just looking at my JJD Sopwith Camel on the shelf as the sunlight brightens the room. With the Roy Brown figure standing in front of the Camel, it looks like a James Dietz picture I have seen. The red nose with the Vickers mg's and the aluminum colored wear around the cowling just looks fantastic. What a great job by JJD. -- Al

I agree Al....its really a fantastic piece.

I will be buying the Nieuport . Cant wait.....
On the buy list for next paycheck.^&grin Gotta get the german ground crew, too. My Fokker needs to be kept company until von R shows up.:salute:: -- Al

I was casting an anxious eye around the local dealer shop this week, but no sign yet.
I think it is available at Sierra (maybe) but it has not shown up on the East coast, yet. I must practice patience ......

I agree. JJD did a great job on the new Camel. Camel camo didn't vary much from the standard OD, except in shade, maybe. The individuality of a Camel (and most British aircraft) comes from the pilot's individual markings, serial #, squadron colors and insignia. Maclaren's Camel is quite different than Brown's Camel and, I think, very attractive with it's natural metal cowling, U aircraft letter marking, the roundel on the side and the stripes on the rear turtle deck. It is a very nice looking model and on my list.^&grin -- Al
