New lines for 2012 (1 Viewer)

Any news on new lines for 2012?

I don't think that there has been anything official yet. However, I wouldn't be suprised if a new range is announced in the next month or so. Especially given that the London show is coming up, which would be a great time to show off something new!

I agree. We should be hearing something fairly soon.

With four lines coming up in 2012, I would think that they will be announced one per quarter.
So yes, March should show us the first one ..... maybe ....... I hope :smile2:

I've pestered Matt for a while now for a FIW range, that doesn't look like it will happen, especially since he has a AWI range which has hardly started but what about a early 18th cen. range of Queen Anne's War?A Raid on Deerfield sub range would be great like JDD'd Snowshoes range. He could even expand it into the Marlbourgh Wars.

I get the feeling we might see the Boxer Rebellion... With the demise of East of India, no one else is making this range and there would be a lot of different troops to cover which is FL's cup of tea! :)

I agree with an earlier post that it would be great if manufacturers would lay out their plans early in the year so that collectors can plan out their budgets in advance... Britains does a better job of communicating out their plans and I don't see any repercussions emanating from that... ^&confuse

They need to tell us something!{eek3}{eek3}:rolleyes2:

I would be sooo up for the Boxer Rebellion. That would be an awesome release.

Still lobbying for Modern!! {sm4}

To Matt and his creative design team- if you guys make a modern Abrams, Bradley, MRAP or Hummer in your scale and to your quality standards, you have an unconditional purchase guarantee from me for 4 of each.

Best Regards

Well the first quarter of the year is coming to a close in just a few short weeks, so my thinking was 1 release for each quarter of the year?? 4 quarters= 4 new lines, that's not to say Matt may release all four lines at one time?? who knows, but I am getting a little curious to know who/what is coming down the pike?? come on Matt, throw us a bone here man!!! even young grasshoppers get impatient once in awhile:)...Sammy

That's true Sammy, a reveal per quarter would be nice! I still think we will see something at the London show at the end of the month.

These are existing lines so still nothing on the new lines.

I hear you Mike. I've got some cash burning a hole in my pocket, and the 55th North Carolina release is looking really appealing. Hope I can hold out till the 22nd Foot preorder!

You have a favorite you are looking forward to with the 22nd? For some reason, I really like the NCO.

The NCO is a definate favorite, however I really like the Officer with sword, and I also like the soldier with the bandaged head loading his Brown Bess. My inital thoughts are to collect a platoon of 18 pvts, the drummer, the officer, and the NCO. This should make a nice looking firing line. I also plan on colleting the colour guard and the wounded officer being assisted by another soldier.

Those figures you pointed out are good ones too. I had a similar plan for a firing line, but I haven't decided on how to display it yet. I can't decide if it the poses should be all mixed together, ie, a fire-at-will situation, or if I should try to selectively place them for a fire-by-file situation. If it was the latter, I would probably do 4 firing figures (mix of standing/kneeling), a large group of the standing and loading poses, then a couple more firing. Any thoughts?

I will probably do the same with the flagbearers as I did with the 5th Foot, which means the regimental colour will be a stand-alone figure on a pedastal base and unit name plate.
