New lines for 2012 (1 Viewer)

Those figures you pointed out are good ones too. I had a similar plan for a firing line, but I haven't decided on how to display it yet. I can't decide if it the poses should be all mixed together, ie, a fire-at-will situation, or if I should try to selectively place them for a fire-by-file situation. If it was the latter, I would probably do 4 firing figures (mix of standing/kneeling), a large group of the standing and loading poses, then a couple more firing. Any thoughts?

I will probably do the same with the flagbearers as I did with the 5th Foot, which means the regimental colour will be a stand-alone figure on a pedastal base and unit name plate.

Iwas thinking more along the lines of a fire-by-rank arrangement. The front rank firing (standing and kneeling figures) and the rear rank loading.

April 1st has come and gone... and no news about a new release yet!!! {sm2}

Got my fingers crossed for either Agincourt or Hastings... There are no medieval ranges out there unless you collect the superb Aeroart collection but that is way too expensive for me to accumulate a nice diorama with... {eek3}

Some news would be appreciated or how about just a hint...

Soldiers of the World (Regal) does a very nice Hastings series. -- Al

Matt replied on another forum that the first new range will be announced in about 30 days (early May) and another one 30 days after that.

In the same thread, Matt also provided a hint of sorts, which has been interpreted by some as a hint indicating a Seven Years War range.

Just to clarify,, is there supposed to be four new ranges released in 2012?
Thanks

Yep, it is supposed to be four new ranges. If we see the first couple by July, we might not see the others till later in the year. I wouldn't think Matt would want to drop four new ranges on us all in the space of only a couple months. Either way, it is exciting to think what they could be.....

Matt not only has to release 4 new lines but also squeeze in some Geronimos somewhere:)...Sammy

I was looking at that one. I haven't been able to examine them up close, yet. Also GNM has an Agincourt range. Both companies produce in gloss. I don't see any matte ones out there right now. I know that Britains had a matte Agincourt range for a little while. Not sure if it was successful as they discontinued it. I wouldn't mind seeing someone start-up a matte range as there seems to be a void in this era right now. Everybody is doing Romans! I might fall trap to that range if there is no medieval range coming up and FL would be my choice in that regard! :)

Also, too bad GNM doesn't have any US dealers that I know of... they should start-up an eBay store to get more exposure... They have some very nice figures from the pictures I see from the London shows... Napoleonics and Agincourt are 2 of the ranges they produce and they look exceptional in their glossy style!

I stand corrected... GNM is produced in matte... Here is a link to a thread on this forum:

Nevertheless, FL might want to consider a medieval range...
