20th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment

The 20th Massachusetts was one of the hardest fighting regiments in the Army Of The Potomac. Of the 2,000 Union regiments engaged during the Civil War, the 20th Massachusetts suffered some of the highest losses. Through their tenacity and bravery the unit earned the right to file in first at the head of the Corp column. The 20th Massachusetts Regiment was known as "The Harvard Regiment" because of the large number of Harvard educated officers. As a unit in the Second Corps, the 20th Massachusetts fought in battles from Balls Bluff, Fair Oaks, Malvern Hill, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Wilderness all the way to Appomattox Court House. The 20th Massachusetts served over four years.

Our sets capture their fighting spirit. With so much success with our 5th Texas we thought it only right to hoist the Stars and Bars and celebrate a great Union regiment. There are four three figure sets to collect and all become available for purchase in mid-September.

Tally Hooo!

Best regards,

Brian

I love the fire and advance poses, especially the flag bearer!! Great looking figures!!! Haven't seen any quite like these before.

A truly lovely line of new figures...fantastic detail and unique character to each face (although the drummer looks as if he is from New Hampshire [he has that smirky "I don't pay state sales tax" look]...not Massachusetts!).

Brian: The 20th Massachusettes is a perfect compliment to the 5th Texas. However us cavalry afficianados thought that you guys would roll out the compliment to Mosby's Rangers...a specific Federal Cavalry regiment of six or seven blue clad mounted troops bearing the look of a specified Union regiment. Can we expect this down the line? Say before year end? Just asking and lobbying at the same time. Great work as always. Regards to you and the fine people at CS.

What an interesting choice for a series, nice to see a non Zouave or other such specialty Union Regiment get picked.

They suffered the highest amount of total casualties during the war than any other Massachusetts regiment, commanded by Paul J Revere, grandson of THE Paul Revere, he was wounded on the 2nd and died on the 4th of July at Gettsyburg.

They were right in the thick of it at the angle along the stone wall near the high water mark of the Confederacy.

As a life long Massachusetts resident, I am happy to see this subject chosen.........

You B@#&*!s! I just got my jumper pack for my winter half track. And now this! For crying out loud. I have very little room left!

LOL!!!!! KV is out for blood!!!

Great looking troops, Brian. I must admit though, it is w/ some relief that I mention that I don't collect ACW, unlike the Kilted One apparently!:p:)

Otherwise I would find these hard to resist along w/ all of your other fine ACW sets. Your soldier sets really display the kinetic insanity of battle. Your figures are injected with so much focus and intensity, and they display so well. You do a great job of bringing your ideas to life.

Hell Brian I sure could have used these in my latest Cold Harbor chapter of the ACW Diaries-absolutely superb charging poses and just what I needed to race them across that open pasture-par excellence

By the way I enjoyed very much our chat at the London show last June-and I repeat keep up this sterling ACW work along with all your other splendid era figures.

Huzzah!

Bob
