NEW RELEASE: 7th Union Cavalry With Custer in Command!

TCS is pleased to deliver on a promise made some time ago to a member of the forum: new Union cavalry! These lil' gems are of the Michigan sort and feature none other than Custer himself at the helm. Pictured here with our ever diminishing inventory of Rebs.

We've created some off the chart action poses that will ensure your aggressive cavalry movements are not mistaken for nothing other than a hard bitten attack.

These fellas deliver with the new LAH sets and Germans in May: stay tuned for more releases from the May catalog coming at ya soon.

Cheers!

Brian

horses look nice. sure collectors of this era will be very happy

Love the concept, although Custer seems a bit awkwardly posed, like someone surprised him. Great dynamic action on some of the other pieces including the flagbearer.

The new release looks great as usual!

But, the marching confederates and mounted Generals aren't helping turn the tide of battle. I hope the next batch of confederates are infantry in combat.

Looks good.
Bout time somebody did the Michigan cavalry.

Some very dynamic poses. Love the choice of Custer and the Michigan Cav. These guys might be showing up in stores right around the time I go to Gettysburg. Ill definitely have to check them out.

You must be a mind reader. I was hoping you would do these and they look great.

The great thing about Collectors Showcase is that they are very prolific in their releases and choose not to adhere to a regular schedule for announcements... You never know what to expect when you open up their thread board!!! {sm3} {bravo}} :salute::

We could use more surprise announcements from the other guys too... :wink2:

AWESOME Brian - Happy Birthday to me. Hope you will have these at the TEXAS SHOW in San Antonio!?!

Gettysburg is Great, but these guys are going to flash forward and ride into my Dio of the 7th at The Little Big Horn

This is what I was expecting,more federal cavalry{bravo}}

In the future Marine Corps want as my avatar

Good idea for a new line. I'll have to wait and see them. The legs on
Custer's horse look odd in the picture anyway.

Not bad CS..Not bad at all!!!!!....For Darned Yankees that is!!!.

Nice job Brian. A solidly depicted ACW Union mounted rollout. For the record it is the 7th Michigan Cavalry (no such unit as 7th Union Cavalry) one of four regiments that comprised the famed Michigan Brigade: 1st,5th, 6th and 7th. Really glad that this branch and this conflict has something compelling for 2012. These are going to be fun to collect.

What is the "7th Union" cavalry? Have not heard that designation before now. Does one fig in the picture really have a sabre in one hand and pistol in the other? How about adding a dagger clenched between his teeth? The usual standard bearer with flag in one hand and weapon in the other. :rolleyes2: Sorry, but prefer more realistic poses.

Hope standard bearer may be available with this flag ;
Not a full view, but red and white stripes show. So my guess is the standard bearer
will have this flag.

I didn't know they assigned horses by color by the Troop. I'll just be happy if the horses legs
don't look like they suffered from rickets or something.

I haven't seen it, but some may be interested in this quick fix.

You do realise with a well trained horse and excellent rider that such a feat of arms is possible?

Sure, but the odds of several riders capable in such a limited depiction amongst charging horses across uneven ground would be long. Additionally, there's too much brass on these figs. Looks like they came straight out of their permanent barracks. CS never varies the coloring of the individual horses in their series, right down to the blaze markings. I have quite a few CS Naps mounted figs and am a big fan of the line. Just do not care for this series for the stated reasons.
