Hermann Göring 251/17

As the war progressed, the Germans found themselves getting more and more desperate for motorized anti-aircraft guns that could keep up with their fighting units. One solution was the mounting of a 2 cm FlaK 38 gun inside the modified armoured hull of a Sd. Kfz. 251 halftrack. Adding to its “Road to Rome” line that focuses on the WWII Italian Campaign (“RMA” for Allies and “RMG” for Axis), Figarti Miniatures proudly introduces its “Hermann Göring 251/17” (Item # RMG-010) with four crew figurines manning the gun. Done with an attention to detail, the Figarti 251/17 Ausf. C has a detailed transmission, fine width indicators made from brass, and painted with the white circle with red tab used by the Hermann Göring Division to identify a flak unit. The flak crew wears various Luftwaffe tropical uniforms and camouflage smocks with the distinctive Luftwaffe eagle over the right breast. Only 100 sets of this livery will be produced. Retail $289. Available at your dealers end of Month/Beginning December.

Another in the excellent wave of releases from Figarti.A cracking model by the looks of these pics, the crew look very nice too.Figarti's figures have got better and better over the last couple of years in my view, this release is going to sorely tempt me in London in a couple of weeks time.

Figarti seems to be focusing on developing a niche in the Italian campaign. Interesting how the manufacturers are dancing around each other, picking areas where perhaps others have not focused.....result.........a terrific time to be a collector ( lots of choice ) in the "golden age".

Cheers

Dear Rob,

While we saw uncrewed prototypes and heard rumors, you lucky collectors in Britain get to see the actual production sets at the December London Show. Please post pictures of your purchases.:)

RWFigarti.....A really great looking set for end of month. May have to take out loan on xmas turkey with all new goodies coming out. What"s a guy to do?

Love the camo job on the half track Fantastic, Also love the mixture of Camo on the figs the Splinter and the Fall SS pattern as it shows realistically that indeed some members of the HG division were in some cases issued with SS Camo . Looks Great ;)

Just got mine, along with the Desert Sherman (thanks Clive!)

The detail on it is phenominal.
Another great piece.

Simon,

What's your thoughts on the Sherman? From photos looks great although the figure doesn't look too good.

Brad,

Tank is very nicely done, as per the photos. The figure is good as well, and is in line with the other allied crew figures of the recent releases in terms of paint, weathering, sculpt etc.

Glad I was able to get these ones so quickly. I think Clive at Grey Goose has had all of the latest 4 releases air freighted across.

I'll try and get some photos up tonight so you can get a closer look.

Cheers
Simon

Hope Clive doesn't mind but.........I found this in an email. Looks like a passable model to me.:);):D
