You will find pretty much everything with Sierra Toy Soldier, I pretty Much buy My collectors Showcase / King and Country pieces from them. And buy Figarti From Treefrog( they usually get their supply with Figarti, a few days to a week before Sierra does). Both Companies has great people. But I only live an hour away from the Sierra Toy Soldier store, And Its always fun going there to see their displays. Mike, Myshka, and Andy are always great. So if you are in San Francisco, or like me The Central coast. Its a great place to visit.

I had only ever heard of M8 HMCs on the big Pacific islands as part of US army cavalry regiments - never heard of the Marines having any on the small islands. Given their timeframe before they were replaced by Sherman 105s, they were probably most heavily used in Italy and would have had only a secondary role in Normandy and only by the US - the Brits and Canadians didn't use them.. Because they were light, maneuverable and didn't have to face strong anti-tank defenses or heavy tanks, they were probably well used in jungle and dirt track terrain on the large Pacific islands like the Philippines and Okinawa by the Army in their operations.

There are many of you that I defer to, when it comes to war theatre placement for any vehicle..Never knew that this model was a real thing, but in looking through the Ken Burns picture book ," The War ", I found a photo of the M8 next to an Easy 8 Sherman..The M8 had hedgegrow cutters mounted and the photo was titled after Normandy. Hope this info is helpful to some..Michael
