Frank...

I agree I would absolutely like the products to come with the scale that they are advertised with. I know equally, that its just not a CS issue and, as you say applies to K&C and TG (though, some have mentioned the smaller scale of TG's AFV's there figures are in line with CS and K&C)

I like the 1/30th scale AFV's and, ideally a blend with figures is best but, I think, it must come down to collectors around the world preferring the figures in this larger format.

I think the last lines of your post are the reason probably why most of these discussions and, frustrations (at least on my part) are in the CS section. I acknowledge that CS are trying to answer the calls from some collectors that want compatibility (some don't and probably won't ever) but, my only issue is the way they do it. reduce the figure size from 1/28th to 1/30th and leave the AFV's alone. In doing so it allows cross manufacturer compatibility (should one wish to) there are a number of CS AFV's that you just cannot do this with at the moment and, it causes a lot of unnecessary issues and discussions.

Agree Mitch... But this does not only apply to CS....It also applies to manufacturers like K/C who label their WWII figures 1:30th but they are indeed 1:28th with 1:30th AFV's.....Personnally I don't care so much what manufacturers choose to call it.......It would however avoid confusion if products are labelled accurately... BUT MOST IMPORTANT...PLEASE "be consistent with scale" for WWII figures and AFV's within their own product line....don't keep changing it....That would be a good start.

Collectors Showcase newer AFV's with Thomas Gunn figures a Grand Slam

Figarti AFV's with First Legion Figures Grand Slam.

I have many dioramas in the works with these combos, which I will display in the near future.

Call all of this stuff what ever size scale you want but that is my new rule of thumb and I am very happy with it.

Yes there are some exceptions ! Alex

Matt's Law: "As an online TS discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving King & Country or First Legion approaches 1". Sometimes I wish it didn't, especially on Collectors Showcase threads :wink2:

As there are very few collectors who do not buy from multiple manufacturers and, such discrepancies in scale within the manufacturers all trying to tell collectors what actually is 1/30th its rather inevitable that a broad view of the hobby will enter into these discussions based upon what is being said. Its not just about CS although that was the originating question but, the crux of this matter is compatibility across the hobby and, especially, within CS.

Discussing other manufacturers is welcome and, interesting

Dont look at me I am not comparing anything, the scale issue is important to me and I am just stating how I am dealing with it and how I am enjoying the hobby. TCS is part of that enjoyment, so my statement is valid. I am very happy TCS makes the "Larger" vehicles it makes things work for me. I hope they continue to do so.

The reason I mention TGM is that their figures are very slightly smaller that the other 1/30 figures ( Except for FL that is why I had to mention them also ) and that creates the match I am looking for. TCS's massive AFV's with the well proportioned TGM figures. Love it...Love it...Love it.

I didnt throw a shot at any manufacturer in the process. Alex

Alex, We look forward to your diorama's....A picture is worth a thousand words and will show clearly size compatibility between various manufacturers....It seems that CS is moving towards "oversized 1:30th"(1:28th) AFV's. This is a step in the right direction IMO and an acceptable adjustment in order to have compatibility within their own product line (1:28th scale). As well as with the all the 1:28th scale figures produced by K/C and TG (labelled inaccurately at this time).... As long as the CS game plan is aheared to and not altered again it will work. Perhaps we may see "oversized AFV's" from other companies as well which will still most likely be called "1:30th":rolleyes2:...Maybe not...otherwise we may see them scale down their figures to TRUE 1:30th scale....I think that we will likely see little if any changes from K/C:(..... Either way we must eventually see products "accurately labeled" from all these manufacturers....That would indeed help collectors and avoid confusion.

Alex, I always appreciate your input on this forum and although my post followed yours I was mainly refering to earlier posts on this thread. I'm sure I'm not the only member that is over the K & C versus First Legion trash talk. If members feel the need to continue such antics I hope in future that they post their comments on more apppropriate areas of the forum.

Like you I am also very happy that The Collectors Showcase are providing an ever increasing number of AFVs that match the larger 1/30 Figures as it makes sense to have vehicles blend well with figures irrespective of whatever scale they purport to be.
