New Releases for February 2019 - The Second World War (1 Viewer)

I have the prototype for this Stug (a gift from John Jenkins the last time he visited my home) and I think it is the best armored vehicle I have seen produced in the hobby by a considerable margin.^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool I just ordered two production versions (one for myself, and one a gift for good friend Kevin Eliott [Panda1gen]).

Rec'd the Stug and USN medics yesterday. Both are outstanding. Looking fwd to the other deck crew figs previously previewed. Chris

I'm a fan of the JJD Stug III as well. Goes great with JJD, FL and War Park figures.

Here are some photos of the Prototype and production versions side by side in one of Ken and Erika Osen's wonderful Hudson & Allen Ruined Stalingrad Factory Dioramas, alongside some First Legion Russian and German troops:

As you can see from these photos, all of the hatches open on the prototype of the StuG III, and there is complete interior detail:

I recently received my JJD StuG and am VERY pleased--it's my 1st JJD vehicle, it definitely won't be my last

Louis I concur with your evaluation of the JJD Stug III; it clearly sets a new and higher standard for 1/30 scale armor as was the case with the JJD Jagdpanther. The operating features and details far exceed the competition IMO.

Just to clarify though. The back hatches don't open on the finished product. Nice model though.

Looks very nice, congrats on picking up a fine machine. It looks really good with the FL riders. Nice pics

I’m really pleased with the new JJD Stug III! It’s a superb, highly detailed model and is such an improvement over the resin or polystone blocks that were long the standard in 1/30 scale armor... I have several of the old 1/32 scale Forces of Valor Stug IIIs as well and the JJD model blows those away too! I love the fact that a full interior was included, even if one can barely see it through the hatches... That’s the kind of attention to detail I like. Hopefully JJD tackles other WWII-era tanks in the same highly detailed fashion...

I’ve posted some pics below of my little setup with some K&C classic German Whermacht figures and the excellent War Park tank crew figures.

I love how you accessorized the back deck of the Stug. ^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool Back in 1998 King & Country produced a wood and metal Stug with a fully accessorized back deck which is still one of my favorites (photo below), Yours really reminds me of it.

Thanks!
I used some Forces of Valor accessories that went with one of their 1/32 scale SdkFz 7 Halftracks and it looked perfect on the rear deck of the JJD Stug
