New Warbirds (3 Viewers)

Ray,

Most of them have been British, followed by Germans and then a few Americans (although I haven't done an exact count).

Twice as much fun! I can't wait to see a photo of the Mosquito. I'm sure it must be something special.

I hope very much that the instrument & control panel is done correctly on this one (dh98 Mosquito). Usually, I allow for a healthy sum of artistic additions and or adjustments. But for these "museum" works of art I do expect a higher degree of accuracy. I still find it difficult to fathom the building process of these warbirds though-amazing they are!

Actually Brad

Aren't there 3 versions ? Normandy, Battle of Britain, Polish

Each at 5 per version ?

So lets hear it - who has bought what from these 15 Planes ?

I heard from Andy this morning and Ron is correct on this. There are three versions, as follows:

AIR 036 JHH Version. A Mark II of a Free Polish Air Force 317 Squadron. Only five are being made.

AIR 036A. A Mark II, Battle of Britain. Again only five.

AIR 036B. A Mark IX, Normandy, the one Ron is receiving. Again only.

Andy thought that of the three versions, one might be left. At any rate, if you have any interest, I would contact K & C.

Bill Sager has just received some photos of the new Warbirds, which are now on his website.

Here is the BoB Spitfire, very nice, almost a Desert looking camo.

Correction. The plane pictured above is actually the Polish Spitfire. Did a little research and the plane is from the Wilenski Squadron in 1941.

I think these are highly accurate. Based on some research I've done (not a lot but a little), these are spot on.

I thought from the email I recieved their was 2 battle of britain spits,
But 1941 would put it out of that period I think.

Brad:

The red & white checkerboard is the give-away. If you need any Squadron history please let me know as I have quite the library here at my Base of Operations (B.O.O.) aka HOME in regards to Commonwealth & USAAF Squadrons.

Well, what did she say when you got the Corgis? Just try to slip it in between them and she won't notice the difference. Being a collector also means you need a little CIA, KGB and MI5 in you:D

No - I am a vicitm of my own doing.....

For months I have been saying to her - "who in their right mind would spend $800 on ONE PLANE ! " even showed her picture of them.

Oh the critic in me hath done harm......

Looks like a Neiman - Marcus DEATH AWAITS ME !
