NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

Still don't understand the Murray deal. Why get a superb north/south runner if you are going to go east/west with him? I mean, how stupid can you be? -- Al

Al...

you are 1000% right...

North and South...between the tackles...a power runner...down hill...

but that's not Kelly's way...

wouldn't be surprised to see some more heads roll in the NFC East...

Linehan with the Cowboys should get canned...he is the offensive passing coordinator...and his coaching is offensive...

Garrett is safe because Jerry has some weird love affair allegiance to him that I don't understand...

Coughlin mismanaged a lot of 4th quarters this year...but his trophies may save him...

Yeah, Coughlin had me scratching my head most of the season. Seems like the Giants were blowing a 4th quarter lead every other game.
On another note, I still think the Broncos are the luckiest team I have ever seen. They won games they shouldn't have with a subpar Manning and now they are winning games they shouldn't be with a subpar Osweiler. I'd be tempted to go back to Manning for the playoffs. Even so, this teams luck has to run out sometime. -- Al

I think Denver is under rated on this forum...

they have a QB that can manage a game...

a decent running game...

and a killer defense...

I know they get no respect on this forum...the Donkos...or whatever...but I don't think anyone should take them lightly...

I also think they deserved their win last night...

they played a good game...especially the second half...

I would be surprised if Coughlin is back. Four years without making the playoffs is just not acceptable in this town. The players are already acting as if they're the cause of his being fired.

As far as the Broncos, they've gotten several wins because of the defense, not because of the offense. They probably don't get a lot of respect because of the middling offense.

If the Pats can get healthy they will be the team to beat. Same with the Be gals. Other than those two teams, no one is really that good.

The one team that has flown under the radar and is the team to beat, in my opinion, are the Cards.

Brad...

that radar is and has been broken...^&grin

they are 13-2...but will still probably get 2nd seed behind Carolina...even if they beat Seattle at home this week...as Carolina has Tampa Bay...

Palmer is red hot...Fitzgerald and Floyd (avg over 16 yards per catch)...are an awesome combo...

and their defense is very strong...a good defense can make the best opposing QB's look really bad...

could be a little bit of a Cinderella ending if they stay hot...

while NE is definitely the cream of the crop in the AFC...the NFC has some strong teams...

Seattle...Arizona...Minnesota and Carolina have really good defenses...

I think when you have a really good defense...all you need is a QB that can manage the game without turnovers and a decent running game...

Chip Kelly has been fired. After the first year, things spiraled downhill and now the Eagles are stuck with a team made by him. It will take a few years to get things turned around. They need to go back to playing tough defense. Too bad there isn't a mobile QB to be had like Cunningham or McNabb.

Just another example of a great college coach who was in a perfect place for him, but he wanted more, so he went to the pros and was a disaster.

Him, Spurrier, Holtz, Saban, Butch Davis, etc, etc. As Dirty Harry said, a man has to know his limitations.

He should go back to where he belongs; college.

Saban did and it turned out pretty good for him.

Carolina is my pick to win the NFC, they are going to beat Seattle in the NFC Championship game, I've got Seattle beating Carolina in the second round.

That would be me your talking about; they get no respect from me.

Come on Mike, you watch as much football as anyone I know; they are 11-4, started 7-0 and are 4-4 since, could easily be 2-6, they won three games in OT and barely beat the Bears.

Manning leads the NFL in interceptions and he's missed the last 6 games.

They are as hot and cold as any team I've ever seen, they looked like world beaters in the first half vs the Steelers, up 27-10; they lost 30-27, were down 14-0 last night and got booed out of the stadium in the first half, then won in OT. They laid a giant egg vs the Raiders at home, didn't get a whiff of the end zone.

Despite everything, they still have a shot at the #1 seed, which shows you how weak the AFC is, the NFC is a much better conference, there are three, maybe four teams in the NFC who are head and shoulders above any team other than New England in the AFC........................

George...

a win is a win...

even NE has come from behind wins...all teams do...

and I doubt you will see Manning...or "Frankenforeheadman"...in as QB...even in the playoffs...

their defense has a wicked awesome with just a 4 man rush...

Von Miller and Ware can wreak havoc on the best QB in the league...

I don't understand the lack of respect for them...

don't underestimate your enemy...

by the way...

I was thinking about what you said concerning OT the other day...

a double possession OT...

and it kind of makes sense...

definitely more fair to both parties...

also...

good pick on Minnesota...
49-17...
those closeups of Eli...
he looked lost on the sideline...
an easy comfortable never was worried cover on that game...
just the kind I like...
I owe you a drink for that one...

Mike,
When it comes to my NFL picks, think blind squirrel and acorn.......................I'm in a pick em pool and there are 65 of us in it, I'm currently 29 in the overall standings, I've got housewives, grandmothers and ten year olds who are ahead of me in the standings.................this week it a total crap shoot; how many teams who've clinched a playoff spot and have nothing to play for are going to rest their starters, throwing all sorts of games out of whack.

as a rule...
this is one of the hardest weeks of the year to handicap for a bettor...
as it's not always clear who will play and who will get rested...
almost as bad as preseason...

the NBA is just as bad...

when I used to bet basketball...
Coach Popovich left me hanging with the scrubs more than once...

I hear and read this morning that teams will be interested in hiring Chip Kelley. I'm not sure I understand why. He took a team to the playoffs, mostly with Andy Reid's team. When given control, he destroyed the team and the players he traded away had nothing nice to say about him. I never hear Belichick's former players whom he cut or traded speak ill of him.

Kelly said he wants to stay in the NFL, he's willing to go somewhere without having all the power, ie, have a GM shop for the groceries while he takes the ingredients and cook the dinner.........................

Would you trust him after he burnt the dinner. Maybe the Titans will bring him and Mariotta together.

Nope, he royally screwed up the Eagles roster and salary cap, just coach the team, win and be quiet.

Get us the name of the 10 year old!

A woman who's in the top ten of total wins has an iron clad formula; she picks the winner based on which city she'd rather visit when she can't decide the winner.

Another woman picks the team with the helmet she likes the best when she's stumped.

So feel free to use either of these formulas, who can argue with the success of it?

about 10-15 years ago...

the stock market went on a crazy up swing...

this was back when Kramer made his bones on CNBC...

a guest brought on a chimpanzee...

the chimpanzee out picked the professional analysts...
