NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

Well now that my Raven season is over in a few days I'll have to jump on a playoff bandwagon :) I'll stick with the home team and pull for the Cardinals to make a run to the Superbowl, wouldn't mind seeing my ol Skins make some noise either, yea "I like that" Cousins ^&grin in the AFC just hard to pull for any?? Brad's Cinderella Jets??? (if they win Sunday) no way in Hell can I pull for Broncos, Pats, Bengals, so not much left there...also the Butcher Bowl IV (Wayne from down unda vs. moi) is coming up soon!! I was a stupid pick at the goal line last year (thanks Wilson) from being 3-0 so hoping I can get my mojo back in this years Superbowl, daddy needs a new FJ!!^&grin...Sammy

Sammy:

I too would like to see the Cardinals in the Super Bowl.

On the AFC side though I would like to see the Pats go as Brady would be playing in the Super Bowl just 20 miles from where he played in high school.

Plus I think New England vs. Arizona would be a great game.

sounds like easy money doesn't it...^&grin

how can Dallas be a 4 point Vegas favorite Sunday against Washington?

Dallas can't produce points...
also Dez Bryant is not playing...

last week they scored 6 points against Buffalo...

three weeks ago they scored 7 points against Green Bay...

4 games this year they have scored 7 or less points...

and they are a 4 point favorite???

Washington has no reason to play any starters...
they can't improve their seeding...
it doesn't mean they won't...
their starters definitely need the work...
so I expect they will play...

and still...
Dallas can't produce points...
and they are -4...

that's crazy...

Maybe they think Saban has already taken over the Cowboys. Haven't the Redskins already won the division? If so, they will probably play the scrubs.

Doug...

here is a fun fact...

Saban...

has more wins in Dallas's AT&T in 2015 than the Cowboys do...

Wisconsin and Michigan State...

yes...

Washington has won the East...

but I don't think the Reskins will sit anyone...

their starters need all the practice they can get...

that Dallas -4 line is insane...

4 time this year they have scored 7 points or less...

If I were the coach of the Redskins, then I would play the cheerleaders and not risk any of my starters getting hurt. It will be interesting to see if Old Jerry makes a play for Saban. There can't be anything left for him to prove at the college level. I can see him wanting to show he can cut it in the NFL.

Garrett and Jerry have a strange relationship...

Jerry loves him despite him only having one winning season in his 6 year career as head coach...

I appreciate Jerry's loyalty...

but you would think a coach could make some adjustments even with a depleted team to win one or two games...

Weeden could not win a game as a Dallas QB...

he was traded to Houston a few weeks ago and is 2-0...

that's a slap in the face to the Dallas coaching staff...

that kind of points at the Dallas coaching to me...

This is interesting. I was talking to my brother (a Bama alum, and believe me, no bigger Bama fan exists) about this exact possibility just last night. He is of the rock solid opinion that Saban is going nowhere. Saban is totally invested at Bama and his family is as well. He is a god on the Bama campus. He has nothing to gain by going pro and could probably only hurt his image as a coach. Personally, I feel Saban wants to know what he can do at pro level (don't they all?), but my brother, and, apparently, many Bama alum feel he is there to stay. We'll see. Another National Championship might cement him in place or maybe light his fuse towards pro ball. -- Al

I'm sure most Bama fans would rather lose their right arm than contemplate life without Saban. That was the case at SC with Pete. I can't imagine Saban has much more to prove at the college level though. He doesn't strike me as the type to concede he can't cut it in the NFL. That would at least present a challenge. It would certainly spice things up in the Big D with Saban and Jerry locking horns. Either a spectacular success or failure.

Saban tried the NFL once already, coaching Miami for two seasons, then he left and went back to college.

That said, coaches for the most part are egomaniacs, whether they be college or pro, always looking for that next challenge, always looking for more power, always looking for more money, always looking to "prove" they can cut it at the next level.

He should stay at Alabama, he's a God there and can do no wrong, he gets the cream of the crop to come play for Alabama every year.

If I were him, I'd stay.

But I'm not him.

In this day and age money talks. If Jones (or some other owner) paid enough Saban would leave for the NFL. There is no salary cap on coaches.

Jets are on their way to blowing it. Well, what else is new.

the INT in the end zone was painful...but the INT on their last drive was the nail in the coffin...

can't believe NE lost 2 in a row to close the season...

they may end up in the playoffs in Denver...

Rex Ryan just made my Xmas card list (Sorry Brad), Steelers are in, we live to play another week. My issue is that we are too inconsistent on defense, they are just not a lock down defense, frustrating. Hopefully Ben can just outscore anyone they play. Looking like the Bengals should be quite interesting.

Sorry Tom but the Jets handed this to you.

Neither Steelers nor Jets are good enough so I don't see the Steelers going far.

Hard to believe that the Redskins are going to the playoffs behind a Qb that came out of nowhere and has played lights out for weeks now. Cousins has set single-season team records for yards, completions, 300 yard games, and with 29 Td passes, ties Theisman for the 2nd most Td passes in a season (Jurgensen holds the record with 31). He also completed 70% of his passes, 2nd highest to Baugh's 70.4% in Redskin history. What a remarkable season for Cousins. Can only hope that the bubble doesn't burst too soon.:wink2: -- Al

Congrats to Tom's Steelers.

Looks like the Giants are finally going to part with Tom Coughlin and (dare I hope) Jerry Reese, the worst GM the Giants have had since before the great George Young took over in 1979. Ernie Accorsi built the two Super Bowl champion teams with Eli at the helm, which were won with his draft picks (Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenura, Amani Toomer, Earth, Wind and Fire, and that terrific offensive line). Since Jerry Reese took over, with the exception of a no brainer like Odell Beckham, Jr., his First round draft picks include David Wilson (a fumble-happy running back who was in the league for 2 seasons and never rushed for more than 400 yards in a season - drafted the same year the Redskins drafted Alfred Morris in the 6th round), Hakeem Nicks (who the Giants cut and re-signed this season out of desperation) Jason Pierre Paul, who had a great rookie season, then two mediocre seasons before blowing half his hand off, Prince Amukamura, who on the rare occasions he is healthy has been one of the worst cover corner backs in the league, and Justin Pugh and this year's pick, Flowers, two offensive tackles, neither of whom have been able to stay healthy or otherwise amount to anything. Only about 15% of his picks since he started in 2007 are Giants starters.

I would rather keep Coughlin than Reese, as, frankly, with Reese's pathetic record on draft picks, compounded by the injuries (the Giants lead the league with 23 players on IR), he hasn't really had fair chance these last couple of seasons.

Here's hoping for a fresh start next year. I hope the Giants grab Sean Peyton, their former offensive coordinator.

The Patriots are going nowhere, losers of 4 of their last 6.

Their offense is way, way to conservative, 21 rushes, 5 throws in the first half, they broke out the playbook of the 1924 Redskins today. Brady threw for about 150 yards today, that was pathetic play calling in that game.

No excuse for losing to a pathetic Doofins team that mailed it in four weeks ago.

And on top of it all, Suh hit Brady low and he rolled his ankle, the same ankle he had a hairline fracture in during the 2007 playoffs/Super Bowl.

This team isn't beating anyone in the playoffs.

Don't give up on your Patriots just yet, George. They get a bye week to get healthy, and if they get back all their receivers, as long as they have both Brady and Belichek, the Patriots can play with anyone.
