NFL Season 2016-17 (2 Viewers)

Brad...Sammy...you both may be right...and I hope you are...

but as hard core football fans...if you have ever ridden a loser's streak like Cowboy's followings have the last couple of decades...then you can imagine the euphoric high a Dallas fan has been having so far this year...

as I tend to dwell on their weaknesses...I think they have been very lucky so far...nothing lasts forever...and they are certainly due for a collapse...

so...if you watch the game...while I think Bradford is an okay QB...not a Hall of Famer by any means...watch how effortlessly they move the ball in the air against the Dallas weak secondary...

and yes...either way...it should be an entertaining game...

good luck Pete...

George...just heard the news on Gronk...that sucks...

He's done for the year Mike. Third back operation in his life, I really think he might be done for good.

He's had more surgeries than I can count, he's a beast when he's on the field, but he can't stay on the field, they are in deep **** now without him.

I really can't see them getting to the Super Bowl now without him.

This team just can't get through a season without major injuries.

All I have to say, George, is that if anyone can come back from a third back surgery, it is Gronk. He is one tough hombre! I can't imagine running at full speed after one back surgery and with a second probably on the way, Gronk is taking hits that puncture his lung and playing on!

If I were a member of the Vikings defense, I'd sue the offense and special teams for lack of support!{sm2}

Dallas was manhandled the whole game...
held Prescott to 12-18 for 138 measly yards...
Elliott only had 86 rushing...
lucky to escape with a win...
ugly game...

Minnesota has a very good defense...
don't want to play them again...

Brady is still the best QB in the game...as long as Amendola and Edelman stay healthy...you will probably still be the favorite to win...

One thing I have learned as a life long Raven fan, a ugly win is just as nice as a blow out in the W column, good teams win the close ugly games like this which seprates the good and the very good in the standings.

As the saying goes there are no style points for winning. An ugly W counts just as much as a W earned through a blowout.

Mike, True as the stats do not lie. If this was Dallas 2 years ago they would have lost this game badly !

Here is what I learned last night, defense wins championships but it can't overcome special teams that fumble and average 30 yard punts.

Warrior
The patriots always find a way to win
no matter who's missing and no matter
who they loose that' why Bellicheck
has no time to smile

The next two weeks, the rubber hits the road for my Giants, who play the Steelers followed by the Cowboys. If they win one of these games, and play well in both, they are a contender. If the lose both, they are a pretender. I, frankly, have no idea what to expect from this team. The defense looks good on 98% of the plays, especially in the red zone, but gives up a lot of big plays (particularly to whatever receiver is lucky enough to be covered by Eli Apple, another draft bust). The offense can't run the ball (due to the absence of offensive line talent), but should be able to pass on anyone with OBJ, Cruz, Shepard and Tye. However, because they insist on attempting to run the ball, and waste a lot of pass plays on low percentage deep throws, instead of running a true west coast offense and methodically moving the ball down the field with short passes, they are inconsistent and often ineffective. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.^&confuse

not at all jealous of you having to play in Pittsburgh when Big Ben is in a must win situation...

but then not anxious to play the your Giants at home Thursday night when ya'll are in must win mode...

Tomlin might pull every trick in the book out to win that game...

you're in a good playoff spot with the Giants peaking right now...they are on a roll...

the West in no threat for a Wild Card...Seattle has all but locked that up...

in the South...don't see Tampa Bay getting a Wild Card...they got the Saints twice...the Chargers...Carolina and the Cowboys...tough schedule...so probably no Wild Card there...

in the North...Minnesota is not out...but they will almost have to win out to get a Wild Card...still Detroit's schedule is not a list of cream puffs...

so again...I see the East as putting in a division winner and 2 Wild Cards...

Pittsburgh is a 2 point favorite...should be a good game...

A win is obviously what I am hoping for, but I really have no idea what to expect. The Giants have really only played 6 quality opponents so far this year: the Cowboys, Redskins, Ravens, Vikings, Packers and Eagles, going 3-3. This six game winning streak has mostly been against terrible teams like Cleveland, the Bengals, the Bears and the Rams. As is typical of the Giants, they seem to play up or down to the level of their competition, and virtually all of the games have been decided by one score. I hope that they play well against the Steelers, and expect this to be another close game decided late. All I can do is hope they find a way to win and keep pressure on your Cowboys.

I made a mistake...

Pittsburgh is a 7 point Vegas favorite...not 2...

you might be right George...

but the Giants defense isn't that bad at all really...only 213 points against so far...actually given up less points than Pittsburgh...

with Shepard...Cruz and Beckham...

if Eli gets some protection...

they got a good shot...

this is a good game to watch and not bet on...
