NFL Season 2016-17 (2 Viewers)

The Giants are undoubtedly pretenders. I hope they lose the final 4 games and miss the playoffs so that bum Jerry Reese can finally get fired. As usual his failed draft picks, particularly Flowers and Apple, were key in the loss.

I think you're being a little severe on yourself. They're like a lot of teams -- sort of in between. Not a great team but not a bad team, a little better than average.

with Washington's loss...
can you believe Jameis Winston and Tampa Bay...
with 4 wins in a row...
is now one of the wild cards in the NFC?

he is fun to watch...

Louis,
sorry to rain on your parade, we needed that win.

And I got to say it again, the NFL officials suck, there were some tough calls and no calls in this game too at critical points.

Anyhow, as for the Steelers, they are set up to run it, but they have to keep the D up and Ladarius Green needs to shred the Ravens, that is a position Ben has not had all year, it will be critical!

found this on NYJ ESPN...

The fans apparently have had enough of the Jets. Tomorrow night's game against the Colts is the cheapest ticket since they started playing at MetLife Stadium in 2010, according to TicketIQ.com. Tickets start at $5, with field-level options at $20. A beer will cost more than an upper-level seat.

And who can blame them; as much as Louis rails against the Giants ownership and management, they've won two Super Bowls in the past eight years, four overall.

The Jets have won one and haven't BEEN to a Super Bowl in close to 50 years.

They make some idiotic moves, most recently signing Revis, which was done purely out of spite towards New England and it was a massive overpay to boot.

Not to mention they got one good year out of him, he is now toast and they're stuck with him for awhile.

If I was a fan of that dumpster fire of a team, I'd have had enough too....................

Another weekend in which I watched zero minutes of the NFL, but I read the Rams have given an extension to Jeff Fisher. It must be nice to be in a profession where you can consistently fail and be rewarded with millions of dollars. And if you get fired someone else will instantly hire you for millions more. The Rams have scored only 181 points this entire season which is about 50 points less than the woeful 1-11 49ers. The Rams traded half their team for a rookie QB and they are among the worst offenses in the NFL. I'm all for exercising some patience but Fisher is not giving me a lot of confidence.

Yeah, the whole NFC East had a banner day.:rolleyes2: -- Al

The Iggles gave their worst performance of the season. The defense was a sieve, though this week, it wasn't the front line, it was the guys covering pass receivers in the backfield. With four games left, including three against the rest of the division, the other against Baltimore, I think they'll be fortunate to end up at .500 for the season. I think they may split the four, and take the games against the Redskins and the Giants, but who knows which team will show up? And the final game, against Dallas on New Year's Day, should be entertaining if nothing else.

The Giants looked awful, too, by the way. The Steelers just shut 'em down.

Prost!

The thinking seems to be that they will cut Revis at the end of the year.

However, the best news may be that Woody may be appointed to an ambassadorial position by Trump. Please let it be so.

Although the Jets haven't been to a SB since I was in HS, more often than not they've been competitive and have had winning seasons. It's not as if they have only had losing seasons.

I'm not sure they can afford to cut him, I think he'll have too much dead money vs the cap, maybe in 2018 they can cut him.

I've said it before, but if it wasn't for the Jets, there would be no New England, Miami, Buffalo, Denver, Oakland, KC, etc, etc, as had the Jets not beaten the Colts and gotten blown out like everyone thought they would, the AFL was going to get disbanded, the players worth anything on the teams would have been picked up by the teams in the NFL and that would have been that.

I'm sure over time the NFL would have expanded to markets like Boston, Miami, Denver, Oakland, etc, etc, but all those original AFL teams would have been toast.

Joe Namath is in my top ten all time favorite athletes, he was awesome as a player, a game changer, a pioneer, he's still got it, looked and sounded great in the booth the other day at the SEC Championship game.

He looked awesome in his famous fur coat too.....................I'm going Yaz, Orr, Bird, Namath, Brady, Gretsky, Bonds, Bradshaw, LT and Jordan as my top ten favorites......................

I think they'd take a $7 million cap hit if they cut him.

Yes, the Jets do hold a special place in NFL history and Namath is a god here but after 50 years you need something more than that to show for it. They've gotten close a couple of times; their best shot was probably when they lost to the Broncos during Elway's days. Still, only that one appearance to show for it.

The Jets are demonstrating an appalling level of incompetence. You have to wonder if Bowles is the right man for this job.

is he alive...is that a card board cut out?

he never moves...never talks...I have not seen him blink...

how does he coach?

He's the anti-Rex, who is actually looking pretty good right now.

They were an embarrassment last night, unprepared or seemed to be so. Fault for that has to lay at Bowles' feet. When I watch the Niners or the Bears, they may lose but at least they're trying.

This week's game should be a snooze fest: Niners vs Jets.

According to the Daily News, Bowles didn't even tell Fitzpatrick that he wouldn't be starting the rest of the year; he had an assistant do that. Poor decision making.

It appears time to blow it up again.

George was right about Revis...at least for last night...I have not watched them enough...but he was beat often last night...

I watched the Jets play Buffalo week 2...

Fitzpatrick...he looked awesome...

I even posted on how good he looked...

after the K. C. game where he had 6 interceptions...

I did not watch them again until last night...

14 interceptions in 3/4 of a season is way beyond too much...

I don't know what happened...

you need Romo...^&grin
