So I put Lucic on my EA Sports Kings team and I'm not seeing much. Granted it's not very scientific(!) but Lucic looks out of place in la-la land. He's too angry for that climate. I could see him in Philly, but LA will be interesting. He is similar to Dustin Brown. Physical but not much of a scorer. The Kings better have another deal to get some D help.

I had high hopes for him after the 2011 season; good presence around the net, a hard shot, tough as nails, people were comparing him to Neely.

Four years later, not sure what happened with this guy; he's no Neely, that is for sure.

Does some stupid things on and off the ice, he can't put the puck in the ocean at this point.

Maybe he'll be one of these guys who is reborn once he lands on a new team; his parting shot on the way out of town was "I'm excited to be going to a team that knows how to win"..............I guess a SC Championship in 2011, a trip to the SC finals in 2013 and the Presidents Trophy in 2014 isn't enough winning for Milan.

What a cementhead; his wife is a total smokeshow, so she'll fit right in with the vapid women who hang around the Kings, like that fleabrain who was on the ice after their SC win last year in 6" heels, slipped and hit the ice like a bag of cement.

She's ok though; she landed on her head.

Yes, now that Jarret Stoll is likely leaving and taking his girlfriend (the) Erin Andrews they need a replacement. The Bruins should do them a big favor and pick up Mike Richards. The Kings apparently signed him through the next century even though he was washed up a year ago. A bonehead move by one of the best GMs in history. Misplaced loyalty. They just put him on waivers. He gets at least $1.25 million through 2025 even if he never plays again (which he won't).

Bizarre twist in the Mike Richards saga. The Kings were on the hook for the next several years with his massive contract. Put him on waivers yesterday. No takers. Then suddenly they terminate his contract for a material breach! That's mighty convenient and frees up a ton of cap space. They haven't revealed what exactly Richards allegedly did, but unless it is something awful they are in a world of hurt with the players union.

Reading today that the LA Kings will travel over 43,000 miles with their schedule next season. That is brutal. And it only puts them seventh on the list. Three-on-three OT is going to be interesting. There should be a lot fewer shootout games. That means teams like the Hawks and Kings (who were amazinginly awful in shootouts) are going to benefit.

Al Arbour has passed away at 82. His four consecutive Stanley Cups with the Islanders is one of the great accomplishments in all of sports history.

He's up there as a NY sports legend with Joe McCarthy, Miller Huggins and Casey Stengel.
