Unless Crawford goes into a mighty funk, the Hawks should win in 5.

Yep, knew this one was over before it started; then when it started, it was over halfway through the first period.

The Blackhawks are annoyingly relentless, have to give it to them, now we get to see Smiling Joel behind the bench for another series. He would have made a great WWII Russian general.

Top to bottom, they have the most talent in the league; they'd better win it this year as they can't keep that team together due to salaries on several key players being up.

And yes, there will be 14,000 Blackhawks fans in the stands in Tampa, yelling and screaming over the National Anthem, can't wait..................if it goes 5, it will be a miracle.

I'm picking Chicago in six. They are tough to beat at home. They likely win one in Tampa and close out at home in game six. Tampa has had a bizarre run. They beat three good teams Detroit, Montreal, and NYR. They have lost a ton of games at home but won on the road. Some nights they play great D and some nights they get shelled. They are a dangerous and well-coached team.

I guess I will go with the Blackhawks. Always liked the uniform. If TB plays like they did most of the Rangers series (other than game 6), they might have a chance.

Blackhawks have the best uniform in hockey, specifically the home red and black.

I'd go Toronto #2, Bruins #3, Rangers #4 and Canadiens #5.

And yes, those are 5 of the original 6 uni's.

If (and that is a really big if) Tampa Bay wins the Cup they will have beaten 4 of the original 6.

Losing the first game at home is not the way to kick off the Finals for TB.

True, but Tampa lost two out of three home games to the Rangers. Their problem is that Chicago is playing a lot better than the Rangers. They are not going to win three road games in Chicago like they did against NY.

I agree that's why I thought it was important to get off to a good start. One of the local radio guys around here, Mike Francesa, has a saying that a series doesn't really start until the home team loses a game. Well, this one has already started. I also remember somebody saying that in a close 7 game series, winning game 1 is not that crucial because someone has to win game 1; the crucial one becomes the even numbered game (game 2, game 4 in a 2-1 series and so forth). Well, game 2 is crucial for the Lightning.

The Blackhawks are just unbelievable.

Down by a goal, six minutes left, no problem, game tied.

Four minutes left, going to OT; nope, sloppy turnover in the Devil Rays zone, pass, shot, score, 2-1.

Game over.

The Jason Vorhees of hockey win another game.

I agree.:salute::

Tampa skated circles around the Hawks in game four but couldn't put the puck in the net. They need to take care of business at home. Chicago seems have the puck luck in close games.

I keep reading in the paper about Phoenix and their stadium lease problems, plus all the problems in the past. Why don't they just relocate to a hockey oriented city? What is the NHL trying to prove keeping this franchise there? Same with Miami.

But when those teams are good, how are all the yahoos in those areas supposed to glom onto them and jump on the bandwagon? Moving them to a hockey city isn't fair for those pink hat wearing frauds who don't know if a puck is inflated or stuffed.

By the way, what is the correct PSI for a hockey puck and who checks them to make sure they are correct? :wink2:^&grin -- Al

Speaking of yahoos, did anyone see those two guys dressed as astronauts in Tampa? Sitting in the front row with space helmets on. I knew NASA had hit upon rough times, but that was ridiculous.

Is this just a midwest thing? Just as the national anthem was starting in last nights game, the station suddenly goes to "first alert weather" That't when the local weatherman comes on shows all his radar pictures of the current weather situation. Now I can see if if a F-5 tornado is bearing down on the St Louis Metro area, but this was for a thunderstorm 60 miles away, although still in this channels viewing area. The weather guy even said it effects 3500 people. So what about the other 2.5 million residents of the metro area who could care less. They finally went back to the game with about 6 minutes to go in the first period. Again I ask does this happen across the country?

It will be interesting to see if Tampa can get a win in Chicago. A game 7 would be exciting.

From what I understand all of Tampa is agog over the team. However, I have no idea how they fare in the regular season. If baseball is any indication, probably not too well. I was watching the Angel game earlier this week and that mausoleum they call Tropicana Field was deserted.
