Another great comeback series win by the Rangers but a tough loss for the Caps. Lundqvist is just hard to beat in a game 7.
There are 3 things that are certain in Washington, DC,: Death, taxes, and the Capitals losing Game 7. It is as sure a bet in sports as is possible.{sm3} -- Al

Rangers/Blackhawks would be ratings gold; Ducks/Devil Rays and TV's will be clicking off all across the continent.

It's a deal.^&grin While I am not a hockey fan, I am quite aware of the Caps long history of playoff futility. I am hoping the Nats will be able to establish a better record going forward. But it is another tough loss for the Caps fans to swallow and for the owner, Ted Leonsis, who also owns the NBA Wizards, to deal with as well. Leonsis must love sports and frustration a great deal as the owner of those two franchises.:rolleyes2: -- Al

I'm assuming Ted Leonsis must have purchased the teams from Abe Pollin. Yes, I go that far back {eek3}

I can't decide who I want to win, Anaheim or Tampa Bay. Tampa's goalie Ben Bishop is from St Louis and Anaheim has Pat Maroon who played high school hockey at, not with, the same high school my boys went to. Think this says a lot for the amateur hockey programs here in St Louis.

Anaheim looks loaded, what are they, 9-1 in the playoffs, that's unreal, a real juggernaut.

George:

When I first watched them play I could not decide if they were a power team or a finesse team. Then I realized that they are big and fast, power, finesse and everything in-between.

The Devil Rays smoked the Rangers last night 6-2. Lundqvist was flopping all over the place as pucks whistled past him.

The Rangers have a knack for throwing the puck at the goal and having it bounce in off a player, they should have tried that more often last night.

If it wasn't for that goal that bounced in off a players shin guard the other night to hand them game 1, they'd be in deep trouble right now.

Looks like Lundqvist has to go back to standing on his head for them to have a shot in this series.

They got their you know what whupped last night.

Tampa has a lot speed and skill in their forwards, the Rangers have a fast team as well and an all world goalie.

That second Tampa goal was incredible, top shelf lazer.

Still a long way to go, but the Rangers need to find the back of the net more often.

What a game, the Hawks win in triple overtime. The goalies were fantastic. Time for bed.

My wife 'made' me go out to dinner so I was pretty upset about missing the game. When I got home I was surprised that it was still on! I lucked out and got to watch some great OT hockey.

Huge win for Anaheim on the road after that tough triple OT loss. They are rolling. Chicago always seems to have the puck luck though. Lundqvist is getting shelled by Tampa. I'm not sure what is going on there since he was a brick wall against the Caps. Maybe he has carried his team as far as he can. It seemed like they won every game 2-1 in the early rounds. If a team scores more than two goals the Rangers are toast. Anaheim versus Tampa in the finals will be the worst nightmare of the hockey traditionalists. No Canadian or NE team involved. The sunshine series. No doubt a sign of the apocalypse.

Not only the worst disaster for hockey traditionalists, but a ratings disaster. I can hear the sounds of televisions clicking off already.

Tough for them; it would be a great series, Tampa is one of the fastest teams I've ever seen, Anaheim has loads of talent too, it would be a great series regardless of where the teams are from.

My only concern is the Tampa radio play by play man would either have a stroke or crap his pants; what a hack, good God is he awful, yelling and screaming after every goal, sounds like some nitwit who should be doing high school hockey.....................

Speaking of announcers. Have you heard any clips from the Pittsbugh guy. He will say something completely off the wall like "Crosby shoots and scores, let's go bowling!"
Cracks me up every time.
Doesn't it look like each of the Ducks players are all 4 inches taller & 25 pounds heavier than their opponents.
