My Kings are off to a good start. What LA fan could have envisioned the Rams and Kings having better seasons than the Lakers? Those Edmonton fans are something. They were braying like donkeys throughout the game like they thought someone invented a time machine and Wayne Gretzky had returned to the ice. The only thing I enjoy more than seeing Canadian teams go down are the Florida teams losing. The Pens also got their usual game saving call in the playoffs against the Rangers. Goalie interference when a Pens defender shoved the Rangers player into the goalie. Unreal.

A ton of blowout games in the first round. It's odd how the same two teams play and the results from one night to the other can be completely different. A conspiracy theorist would have a field day. It's also no wonder that Russia is having trouble in Ukraine. Many of the military eligible males are playing in the NHL. Mostly for Carolina. That one Russian guy for the Hurricanes blew up a Boston player like Wile E. Coyote. You could literally see the cuckoo cuckoo birds floating around his head after that hit.

Bruins beat the Whalercanes tonight 4-2, their Russian goulie looked like hot garbage, the Whalercanes are a different team when they don't play with a lead.

More of the same Sunday would be nice.

Hey, no matter what, at least they won't get swept.

So not only is their second best defenseman out after getting killed in game 2, Mcavoy, their best defenseman, was out today due to COVID positive....................

And the Bruins beat the Whalercanes 5-2.

The faux tough guy Whalercanes are a much different team when playing from behind now aren't they.

I say they still win the series, but we're tied 2-2, brand new series.........................

There was no joy around the igloos last night after the Kings stole one in OT in Edmonton. McDavid is a heck of a player, though.

Like to see the Pens win and get on to the next round. Also would not mind seeing the Caps eliminated, that is always a good look round here for me. As I have never been a fan of the teams where I live since birth, truthfully speaking, always kind of liked the Orioles as I was a big Ripken fan, only against them if they play the Pirates. The Ravens is more about beating them, but always have respected most of their talent and I do think the owner is a classy guy or at least does his best to be. The Caps, honestly, just never liked them and in recent history disliked them even more. Back when we had Super Mario, beating the Caps was such a forgone conclusion and the beginning of Crosby was the same way. IT was really only recently that I started really paying attention to them and in my opinion, really dislike most of the players and the organization. They IMO are guilty of the most head hunting and non classy play in the league. One guy defined their organization and the organization itself condoned bad behavior. If I had any inkling of respect, out the window it went with that.

Bruins got smoked by the Whalercanes last night 5-1, this thing is over, should be done by tomorrow night.

5 game 7’s this weekend.

8 playoff series with more than half of the series going to a game 7.

The NHL has parody that even the vaunted NFL is jealous of.

The Bruins won Thursday night to force a game 7, but they lost to the Whalercanes 3-2, so that's that, season over.

When you go up against a storied franchise like the Whalercanes, what else do you expect, what a turnout by their fans last night; so no rodeo in town then?

Our GM was gifted Bergeron, Marchand, Pasternak, Chara and Rask and got out of the 2nd round once and really that was a fluke when Tampa crapped themselves, the Bruins went on to lose to the Goonsquad Blues in the finals......................this roster sucks, they are now in no mans land; good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to make a serious cup run.

The south seems to be the hot bed of hockey now for good or ill. Tampa and Florida are looking great. The Canes are unbeatable at home. I haven't seen many teams in the west with that kind of depth. The Kings had almost nothing and they made the playoffs and went seven games with Edmonton without Drew Doughty and Viktor Arvdisson. I think the winner of the Tampa/Florida series is the favorite. Can't say that I have much interest in the existing field of teams, though.

I don't want to live in a hockey world where the south is a hotbed for the sport.

Hate to sound like a get off my lawn type, but give me an original 6 team or a expansion team from the late 60's/early 70's any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Unless it's the Blues.

And I see where Toronto got bounced in the first round yet again; what a cursed franchise.

Colorado is more than good. There defenseman Makar is by some analyst the best player in the NHL. This years Blues are way better than the Blues team that won the cup in 2019. Nine players with 20 or more goals this season. Now if we (Blues) can get by Colorado, LOOK OUT.

Hockey can be a cruel sport. I watched that game 7 OT goal by the Rangers a dozen times in slow motion and still can't figure how it went into the net. There were at least three players in the path of the puck and then the goalie. It went through them all like Casper the ghost. Amazing. What is with all those fans standing outside the hockey arenas in Canada? As in thousands. Like a hive mentality. There was one Dallas fan in that sea of red in Calgary last night. He looked like Larry Fine from the Three Stooges. Lucky to escape with his life from that mob. If the Stars had won that game, Dallas would have two game seven road wins last night with the Mavericks clubbing the Suns.

So Tampa, Florida, Rangers, Whalers in the east, Blues, Oilers, Flames and Nordiques in the west.

Welp, this is the first time in a long time where I am out, really no interest in any of the remaining teams.

Capitals and or Penguins advancing would have moved the needle for me, but neither one did, so I'm out.

I'll focus on the Celtics, 37th time in franchise history they are in the conference finals..............not bad.

Oh George back to the darkside, the NBA! You might a well watch an episode of COPS as some of those guys should be on that show. Can't believe you drop the NHL playoffs just like that. You might not like the remaining teams but there is some great series and some great hockey left. Its no Don Cherry anymore but still some great stuff.
You know I'm just grinding your gears as I've read your past posts directed at the NBA. I'm not a fan myself as I think college ball is much more exciting but you could always cheer for the Rangers...

I enjoy NFL football, NHL hockey, MLB and NBA in that order......if the Celtics make the playoffs, I'll watch but I don't live and die with the results.

The Bruins are now one of those middling teams as I said that will make the playoffs and then get bounced.

They need to go into full tank mode which they will never do.

None of the remaining 8 are of any interest to me, so I'm out.

I wasn't impressed at all with Edmonton or Calgary. Absent McDavid, I don't think Edmonton is even a playoff caliber team (although I like Mike Smith's old school, unshaven PR photo that they use where he looks like an extra from "Slapshot"). The Blues usually are a better regular season than playoff team for some reason. The Avs haven't been tested. The east is packed with talented teams. I think there are five or more teams in the east that could win the cup. They may end up beating each other up, though. The margin between winning and losing in these games is so close that it is impossible to predict. At this point, the teams that I follow or even dislike are gone. So my interest is purely for entertainment.

well, I am out, Penguins blew it literally. Had a series lead and somehow squandered it, Rangers live to fight again and move on.

Had a 3-1 series lead, lost two 2 goal leads in games 5 and 6, were up 3-2 and then lost in OT last night.

That stinks.

Those Rangers fans are..........................something.

I doubt any Penguins fans made it out of that building alive last night.

They act like they've only won one SC in the past 74 years.

Oh wait..........................
