Holtby played the game of his life tonight for the Caps. 44 saves against the Bruins. This guy was playing for Hershey Bears just a few months ago.
If they lose Saturday, it's over.
I should play the lottery as I called this from a mile away; some ham and egger will stone the Bruins and steal the series for Washington.
Boston's top four forwards have a grand total of zero points in this series.
As in a giant goosegg.
They are going down in flames I'm afraid to some nobody of a goalie, it happens all the time in hockey; you get a hot goalie and steal a series............he looked terrible the other night, let in two soft goals, tonight he stands on his head and steals the game, outshot 45-26.
If they lose Saturday, it's over.
Ha, the only time the New York Rangers will see the cup this year is when Bettman presents it to Nick Lidstrom^&grin
Hey Joe, you going to buy a Blues jersey now!
Gary
Short of two miracles in games 6 and 7, the Boston Bruins, #2 in the league in scoring this year, will go down in flames to the Washington Capitals.
And Braden Holtby.
George, don't give up hope quite yet. There are two certainties in Washington DC. One is that the politicians are all crooked, and the other is that the Caps always find a way to lose in the playoffs.:wink2: -- AlShort of two miracles in games 6 and 7, the Boston Bruins, #2 in the league in scoring this year, will go down in flames to the Washington Capitals.

Who's only playing because BOTH Capitals goalies are hurt.
Shoot high to the glove side to beat this guy, not right into his chest.
The Capitals defense is circling the wagons, blocking close to 100 shots so far, rallying around this boob.
Too bad, that's the way the cookie crumbles, nothing to do now until September sportswise around here...............................
Guess that ain't goin' to happen now is it:wink2:
Of course, it's too early to tell if the Rangers will be there either{eek3}

Looks like the Broadway Blues will soon be joining the Red Wings on the sidelines.
Hi George. Just for the record, bad as the Caps are in the playoffs, they actually DID make the Stanley Cup finals in 1998, where they were promptly swept 4 games to none by the Detroit Red Wings. The Caps claim to fame. -- AlThanks Al and you are right, the Caps have made a habit of blowing playoff series, they of the zero Stanley Cup finals appearances.
I go by what my eyes tell me and the Caps are getting all the breaks; since Hunter, the ultimate goon, whined and complained to the refs after game 3, they've been getting all the breaks, who calls a ticky tack penalty in a playoff game like they did yesterday with 3 minutes left in the game, which led to the game winning goal.
Thomas was God awful yesterday too, 3 of those 4 goals were on him.
The first two Bruins lines are doing nothing, Seguin looks like a ball in tall grass, ie, lost.
Speaking of losing, nice game by the Sox yesterday; they blew a 7 run lead and lost 15-9.
Bobby V has lost this team already, he might get fired by Memorial day at this rate.
I picked them for fourth in the division, they could end up in last place...........
