Rangers 3 the little bears zippo. That's right a whitewash. No beans in Beantown.

Send that Cup down to the Apple now baby!

Why wait?

Plenty of Rangers fans at the Fleet Center last night, they were for the most part babbling like you are.

Comical.

Doesn't the WNBA have a womens team in New York; maybe you can start a thread about how good they are doing too while you're at it.

The Rangers haven't had a sniff of the Stanley Cup since 1994, so take it down a couple of notches.

By the way; WITHOUT looking it up on the computer, name three of their players.

Ha, the only time the New York Rangers will see the cup this year is when Bettman presents it to Nick Lidstrom^&grin

I started going to some of the minor league hockey games. The Hershey Bears. They play some great blue collar cities like Albany, Worchester, and Scranton. It reminds me of that Paul Newman classic movie Slapshot.

Jim Carr: Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Is Detroit still in the league? ^&grin

Let them eat scungilli!

Finally after many years of frustration, anyone notice the St louis Blues?
As of today they are 4th overall in points. Also they play in the much tougher Western Conference.
Would love to be talking to either Brad or George in June about this.
Gary

Gary,

I know you're a big hockey fan. Hope you're there in June as I hope the Rangers are. Over in the east, the Devils seem tough although they're a little down in the standing. I know they play the Flyers and Rangers closely.

Don't worry about George. He'll just be moaning about the BoSox ^&grin

I'm picking the Red Sox for fourth in the East behind Toronto and ahead of the Orioles as they stink on ice.

I won't be moaning about anything regarding the Red Sox, two World Series titles and four trips to the ALCS in the past ten years will do that to you.

I guarantee you though they'll win more games than the Mets.

We'll see how the Rangers do come playoff time Brad, but keep talking, you are entertaining if nothing else.

I gotta provide some entertainment around here. No one else is doing it! {eek3}

Jean Ratelle, Brad Park, and Eddy Giacomin....Without looking at the computer, I could not use spell check..^&grin Michael

the Blackhawks beat the Rangers after a 9 game losing streak ! The Hawks have the stuff to do it all , except maybe the desire . I'm still picking them to go all the way , although the West is tough

When you give up four goals in 10 or so minutes, you can't expect to win.

Brad

Rumor flying around Detroit is that a move will be made for Nash. Holland has alot of money to work with so watch for him to make a move soon.

Playoff time. Time to pick them:

West

LA at Vancouver. My Kings will put up a good fight. They play tough D and a decent goal tender, but lose the series 4-1.

San Jose at St. Louis. The Blues win easily. 4-1.

Chicago at Phoenix. A nice match up. Chicago in 7.

Detroit at Nashville. Another good one. Nashville in 7.

East

Ottawa at New York Rangers. Rangers 4-1.

Washington at Boston. This will be more competitive than expected. The Caps take it to 6 or maybe 7 games, but follow tradition by choking.

Philadelphia at Pittsburgh. Old school smash mouth hockey. Tough to pick, but I'm going with the Penguins in 7.

New Jersey at Florida. Taking NJ in 6.

Cant see past the Penguins Im afraid. The story is written with geno and sid firing on all cylinders

Picking the pens to win the cup, should'nt make crosby mad! I would think they go against the canucks.

I'm not a hockey fan, but my 6 year old son Alec is taking skating lessons and wants to play hockey, so, as I live about a 15 minute drive from Nassau Coliseum, I took him and my 4 year old daughter Ashley to the last Islander home game against the Winnepeg Jets last Thursday. My son, daughter and I had a great time, the Islanders won 5-4 on a goal scored with less than a minute left in regulation, so I ended up buying Alec and Ashley each Jerseys, my son got #91 (John Taveres) and my daughter got #26 (Matt Moulson). It was actually pretty entertaining, and now I've been to a game from all of the major professional sport leagues in the United States (NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL).

Now you gotta go to a Roller Derby bout. You might want to wait until the kids are a little older since Roller derby is a bit risque.

C'mon, take them to see a real team: take them to THE Garden to see the Rangers. Since the vote by Nassau County voters defeated the Islanders effort to get public financing for a new Coliseum, they are likely to move. You don't want him to root for a team that may not be around in the near future.
