Are you sober yet? ^&grin

At 42.00 a beer or whatever they charge at the Garden for a cup of foam, I don't drink.

Maybe last night would have been a good time to start.

Again, just incredible.

Nobody likes beer more than me, but George your right. I,ve been a Blues season ticket holder for 5 years and have or will not buy a beer there. It,s $9 a cup, I could buy a case for 2 of those! I see people drinking all night, some with a beer in each hand. I think K&C "P" figures are a better buy!

What about once you left the Garden. Unfortunately, it's a game you'll probably never forget.

I got back home about 11:30, 11:45 or so, no drinking as I drew the short straw and drove to the game.

None of us were in a drinking mood, the ride home was not very pleasant.

The thing about sports that attracts me is each game brings something different to the table, you never, ever know what you will see; a perfect game in baseball, a buzzer winning shot in basketball, a Marc Sanchez butt fumble, on and on it goes.

And no, it's a game I will never, ever forget.

It really was incredible; so much energy in the building, the crowd was going nuts, it was getting louder by the second as time ticked off the clock, then BOOM, the tying goal, 2-2. Everyone was stunned, but the thought of overtime started to sink in, then BOOM AGAIN, 17 seconds later, now they are down 3-2. At that point, you could have heard a pin drop, all the energy was sucked out of the building.

Today on talk radio it already cracked the top three for worst losses in Boston Sports history; game 6 of the 1986 was number 1, the 2008 Super Bowl loss to the 10-6 New York Football Giants was number 2 and this was number 3.

Thanks Blackhawks.

I guess the only saving grace -- if there is one -- is that it happened in game 6, not 7.

True, but a game 7 would have been a fitting way for this series to end, a winner take all finish.

Not meant to be I guess.

The amazing thing is NHL training camps open in about two months.

If anything, I learned through the playoffs how tough hockey players are, they take a pounding out there on the ice ,word is Horton played with a separated shoulder, Bergeron with cracked ribs and a shoulder injury, Hossa with some sort of pinched nerve in his leg, Seidenberg with a bump leg, Shaw caught a puck in the face and had stitches near his eye, on and on it goes.

They are THE toughest professional sports players in the states bar none...............

What a finish and range of emotions . Going to game 7 , going to OT , they win !!!
The Blackhawks found a way to win all season and the playoffs were no exception .
What are great team .
Guess Boston knows a little how the Leafs feel.

Sorry George....I really wanted to see a game 7 as well....This was a series you just did not want to see end......Both are Great Teams......And yes I agree hockey players are dam tough hombres....they don't get the credit they deserve at times....The game is fast (requires the heart of a horse), and hard hitting....Some of these guys can play through anything....just stitch'em up and send them back out.

Have to give the Blackhawks credit, they changed their approach after getting shut out in game 3, their coach Joe Stalin (does that guy ever smile?) changed his line combinations and off they went, scoring 11 goals in the next 3 games after scoring 5 in the first 3.

Hockey is all about match ups on the ice, they took advantage of their speed vs Chara and Seidenberg, two slow defensemen and they started putting bodies in front of Rask to either screen him or bang home rebounds, they got behind the Bruins defense and scored several easy goals off of rebounds and second chance shots.

Seasons over boys, time to move on.
