nice display but.............. (2 Viewers)

LAH isn't really my thing Gary, but I have no problems with anyone collecting them. Funny out of all the TS things my Mrs's has seen me look at on line, the LAH range impressed her the most. It's also a huge seller for K&C and other manufacturer's.

Just because you collect something, doesn't mean you support what they represent. Heck I own a number of WW2 German AV's, but that doesn't make me a member of the Nazi party or a supporter of the Germans during either of the two world wars.

If folks want to be offended by what you collect, that's their problem not uses mate. You don't have to justify your collection interests nor do you need to defend yourself.

Thanks for posting, enjoy your collection, this is a hobby and the forum is a place for sharing it.

Cheers.

Ive got a couple of sheep in my collection and it doesn't mean I'm a KIWI ^&grin^&grin

I'm with Pat on this one. It's such a difficult subject that has been discussed many times with the two opposing views highly unlikely ever to agree, we live in freedom in all manner of ways because of what others gave for us , so we can vote for who we like, pray to who we want and yes buy whatever we like. War is a horrible thing, there are just wars but there are no good wars.

I was away from this hobby for some months and one thing I have come back with is that in the scheme of things arguing about toy soldiers and who collects what is beyond pointless. Whatever you get off on, collecting, sport, tv, travel, just enjoy it because in this life you just don't know what is around the corner.

.......It's alright Wayne, as a good sheep farmer mate told me one day .......a sheep in the hand is worth two in the bush.{eek3}:tongue:

You can be an honorary Kiwi and shall be known from this day forward as 'Sir Lamb-Chop'^&grin

An interesting observation is that the "emotional" response to a particular set of ..?symbols?.. is not confined to the 3rd Reich or Nazi items. We seem to get a heapin' helpin' of it here since that is probably one of the most popular eras for many vendors, collectors and dealers.

Just look at this past week on the forum at all the flap over the Confederate Flag as an avatar or on toy soldiers. There are some who find the Egyptian dancing girls or the soldiers who are answering natures call :rolleyes: to be in bad taste or offensive.

There was a thread somewhere on this forum a good while ago where an individual JUST collected marching bands as the he found the 'combat' figures uncomfortable.

The NFL has been in a upheaval over the Washington Redskins Logo by the groups are offended by that symbol.

George may remember at the Chicago OTSN two years ago there was a woman who was somewhat upset over the black figures that (she believed) were being show as slaves in (IMHO .. a wonderfully done) Frontline Colonial Classic diorama that were in a display.

Heck, my friend's wife gets a bit miffed when she sees my JJD Indians village that I am building. She is 70% N.E. Indian and thinks my diorama is showing the Native Americans as primitive or savages. (Even though my village is focused on "peaceful" activities.) Nick Cameron (CROWN) probably remembers the couple who were shocked {eek3} to see all the dead Zulu warriors we had on display some years ago at Gettysburg.

I could go on and on.

Anyway, a lot of GREAT advise here to just play with your 2 5/8" soldiers and ENJOY them. Whatever anyone else says or thinks is totally unimportant ...have fun!!! {sm3}
