While all of these dios are amazing, I really am drawn to the Roman vs. Barbarian one. I recognize some of the pieces as Pegaso kits from their modular "Tuetoberg" series a few years back. Who makes the other pieces?

That knights of the Round Table is brilliant! Someday it will be mine :)

Ok well I guess I don't understand your catalog then since from the links you posted, not all the painted Roman figures shown are listed in the blackened Roman figure area and some of the blackened Roman figures do not appear as painted figures. Also does blackened simply mean unpainted?

any figure can be painted or blacking
For my opinion blacking figure looks better than just casted

P.S. Sorry. I do not know how to call in English the Russian word "Чернение" . I translated as " Blacking "

Looks like a way to gain tonal variation before the main colours are applied. I use a lot of darker colouring blacks etc on figures and AFV's after a primer. It gives subtle shadows to the piece and, overall gives a better look when finished.

I was just thinking I had it when you added this. What is the gift trade?

The gift trade refers to companies that produce items that are intended to be bought as gifts, e.g. by tourist, but can also include (from the figure point of view) leaving gift for long service in military or business. In the past I've made everything from romanesque dolphins, through sports trophies, to 10" tall military figures. All of these were made for various companies that you would consider part of the "gift trade":)
