I have a TCS one but not the K&C one YET.
 
Not a fan of the figures, but the KC Normandy Jagdpanther stole my heart. Just an excellent tank destroyer with an excellent paint job.

The TCS one is no slouch though, and beats out the KC one in terms of versatility (destroyed track option, opening/closing hatches, removeable schurzen, cheaper price). You really can't go wrong with either one.
 
The winter version of either Jagdpanter will work accuratly on the Ostfront up against the Figarti T34-85, JS-2 and ISM-152. I am given to understand that late war versions like the Collectors Showcase model were painted in a standardized ambush camo pattern at the factory and sent to both fronts. Whitewash was applied over the camo in winter and removed in spring. Zimmerit was discontinued in September of 1944; thus the CS version is suitable for the Battle of the Bulge. The K&C version is the early mark Jagdpanther seen in Normandy. Regards
 
Nice pictures. I have some CS versions and would not have got them apart from doing a repaint for UK subs and saw how good they were. I have not got the other winter version you have posted but, do have the summer one Nice enough model also.

White washed Jagdpanthers are a s rare as hens teeth and I have only seen two pictures of them in combat. Not keen on the brush stroke applied whitewash here on show but, its down to personal taste

Interesting - a thread beginning with an appeal for more Russian AFVs truns into up being a discussion about the merits of various models of German armour! We have multiple Tigers, Panthers and Jagdpanthers but I don't think anyone has done a model one of the most significant AFVs of WWII - The KV-1 which is long overdue!

The early period - first year of Barbarossa the main tanks were the KV-1, T-26 and BT-7. They would match up well against the early grey German armour in a display

The John Jinkens BT-7 is an excellent model; equivalent IMHO to the First Legion vehicles. I agree that a KV-I is an AFV long overdue amd I suspect that Figarti will be the one to do it given their affinity for Russion armor.

The JJD tank is an earlier BT-5 not the more used BT-7 during Barbarosa. But the BT-5 by JJD is an excellent model and fits the early days of Barbarossa scenario too

Agree that the John Jenkins armor looks great. I was going to get the T-26 and pair it with the First Legion grey Panzer III, bu then the First Legion tank sold out before I could order.

I wish JJD would do more World War II stuff.
 
HR; the First Legion Panzer III shows up on eBay occasionaly. The CS version is very nice; see the great photos Wayne took in the CS thread on the Panzer III comparing the 3 current production versions. The CS is equal or better than the FL iteration, although it is 1/28 scale. I cannot believe no one other than Unimax and Vs tank has done a KV-1. The Vs tank model is 1/24 but works well with the larger K&C, CS & Thomas Gunn figures. The Unimax is 1/32 but could work as a background piece in a diorama and would probably look OK with the smaller First Legion figures. I would like to see photos of that combination! Regards
