Is the bunker based on a real German version?

Its what you would call a generic bunker Neil, could be used on Western or Eastern fronts. The underground one we have in development is based on a real one.

Regards Jack

Thank for your quick reply and look forward to the real one ^&grin

Is the bunker based on a real German version?

I was going to ask the same as I do not recognise it as any bunker I have ever seen, I am a bit of a WW2 nerd, it does look good, I would not like to have served in it, weapon slits on only 2 walls, no defensive points protecting the door, weak point of a bunker* [generally], far enough no information on the back, would have liked to have seen a solid four wall bunker, will not collect this one. Also looks too big to a strongpoint, that roof weight would weaken the structure, especially when HE shells start falling, far enough they would have steel reinforcement but still a large roof surface area to hold up.

* a significant amount of bunkers were taken through the entry door rather than a frontal assault, unless by armour, especially when no rear MG slits or positions.

Lots to consider here. Blast just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water. Robin.

The Napoleonic wars

Thanks to John O'Brien for his research and assistance on this particular figure and also many of our other Napoleonic's. There will be some more dynamic Napoleonic's later on next year including fighting and firing poses.

I'm glad to help and to see the figures come into 'life' :)

John

I'm so impressed with the bunker,ACC and figures got some great ideas for it can't wait to get them.

Love these new German Generals. Long overdue. On my list. Love to see some more lower level field officers In the **ture.

I like all the ACC sets, but the bunker is to polished for me.

Already got my order in for RS061; General Kuribayashi. I am happy that we have more WWII Japanese personalities figures, whether you use them as such or just a "someone' figure.

Thanks for all your support guys, the ACC PACKS with no decals have all sold out as well as NAP046D, the other ACC PACKS we are still OK on as we made more but they have been really popular - just saying!
Best Jack

Very interested in TG's idea of expanding the bunker with an add on and going **rther with an underground layout. Conjures up some exciting images of possibilities. Roll around the coming months. Robin.

Just a figure Julie uses until the correct price is known, TG still to advise. Robin.

The bunker is listed on TF at $999. Is that a correct price? {eek3}

Robin is correct! I use that price as a placeholder as I cannot list an item for pre-order without a price.
And if I listed it at $0 EVERYONE would pre-order and be mad when it wasn't free later......:)

If you elect to pre-order it, I adjust the price (once I have the details) in your order.

Price will be around $125 - $135 guys so not quite as high as $999 but not as low as $0! Pre-orders have been significant and we only have 100 so a good idea to to get your order in soon.

The underground one we have in development is based on a real one.

Initial release of 100 planned. Different versions and add on's also planned including an underground version with adjoining rooms.

I'm really excited to see this underground layout as well. Interested in knowing if it will be an aerial perspective of something more of a vertical design.
Really cool idea!
