Couple random thoughts about KC.
1.) BBA016- White Scout car- my sister in law got me this set back when it came out (last year??). I enjoy it, really nice set. Didn't know much about it other than that it existed. I have done some reading on it and it sounds like it was used mostly in the beginning of the war and then in the Pacific. Anyone come to the same conclusions?? If so, has anyone tried setting it up in a dio with the Iwo Marines???
2.) The Eighth Army Aussie set, which I believe is retired- has anyone used that in a dio with the Marines- to sort of represent the contribution of the Aussies in the War in the Pacific? I was thinking about it but just don't think it would work.
3.) Fallschirmjagers versus British Airborne (MG)- these two re-releases for the year were, in my opinion, on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Fallschirmjagers were a big disappointment- something with their heads or faces or just bodies in general just took the air right out of the balloon for me. I can't quite put my finger on it but they just don't look right. Really really unfortunate as the initial FJs were such a landmark series in the total KC catalog. This set was just a big disappointment.
Now, the British airborne- WOW!! I really dig those figures!! At $29 a pop, they are getting expensive but I think they are really worth it. The poses are great and the texture just really brings out the "coolness" factor of the Para's combat uniforms- A++ on this set.
Really, REALLY hope he gives us a Tetrarch in this lineup.
BTW- What gives with the Umbrella guy?? What was his purpose??
4.) Panzer IV- I think it's time for a Panzer IV- Normandy version with the track guards.
5.) BBG008- I really thought this was going to be a SL King Tiger. Somewhere along the line, he's GOTTA do another KT.
