Considering your recent eye disorder I am surprised that you would soldier on as this will eventually cause you issues and, restricvt the length of time you can be on.

The new rank structure seems to have been put in place to keep undeserving members from achieving too high a rank beyond their military abilities.:eek::D And also because Rob is so far out front. ;)

The points needed for some of the ranks seem to be

General and higher ranks, if any ???
Lt. General 15,000
Major General ?????
Colonel 8,000
Lt. Col. 7,000
Major 6,000
Captain 5,000
1st Lt. 4,000
2nd Lt. 3,000
Command Sgt. Major 2,000
Sgt. Major 1,500

There are several new enlisted man ranks as well. And note, in this new system, only a corporal can become an Emperor or a Dictator. ;)

As always- please halt my rank progression at SMAJ- In fact, I should be a CSM but will accept the relaxtion of my command authority :)
 
I think its a good thing, its cleared some of the grubby little officers out of the Mess and left more room for Generals to put their feet up and enjoy the Brandy and Cigars, before it was just plagued by 2nd Lieutenants!;):D

Actually, maybe the ranks could also reflect roles in the forum. That is, the average members can only get so high, career non-coms, so to say, but if you agree to moderate or act as an admin, you accept a commission, as it were, and are eligible for commissioned rank. If you step down, you're moved to retired and frozen in that rank, unless we mobilize and have to recall you.

Whatever happened to the bigger the government, the smaller the citizen mate. NO one volunteers in the military unless they are some hero type.:eek:;)
 
I really can't remember what my rank was:rolleyes:. I promise to look up what it is now once I post this message:D:D:D.
